It looks like your stud is pretty tall for a pony! He's near the border between pony and horse sized at 14 hands (ponies go up to 14.2, horses start at 14.3). Even though you can breed for generally larger or smaller offspring, there's still a little randomness, so some of his foals will be taller.

It's not the end of the world! Remember, the 2nd generation isn't the end. Just work on getting together a group of het and hom ND1 ponies you like, weed out the tallest of them, and work on breeding them smaller over time. In the 3rd, 4th, 5th gen you'll see more and more tiny ponies :x

This game is most enjoyable when you keep your eyes on the long term. Getting started with the perfect foundations is nice, but you can start with any horses. I know there's people here who work on breeding giants from the littlest ponies and vice versa. Having a goal will help keep things fresh!
