Tutorial?
-
I'm completely new here and very confused on the overall mechanics of the game. Is there some sort of tutorial on the forums or elsewhere that would help me out?
my main questions are reguarding breeding.
Both my stallions say I have no mares that they can breed with, is this due to age or what?
Tattoos; what are they besides visual and what are the most rare and most common.
Genes; what are they besides coat changers for later generations and what are the most rare and what are the most common.
Breed; how to discover your horses breed. Is this one of the testings? if not then what is it? -
Welcome! Feel free to read through our FAQ guide, there is alot of helpful information there.

Also, the genetics guide has alot of good information aswell.

Previously known as "lethalximpulse". -
Mares must be 4-19 years old to breed and must say “bred this year: 0” on their page (also seen from the search page info)
Stallions must be 3-19 years old but they can breed up to 50 times a yearBreeding even generation Grullos with KP, Axiom RBG & Wrong Warp, Chinnchilla, Onyx, Phantom Autumn, Bats, Ghosts, Pumpkins, Skulls & Spiders, Plaid, Watercolour genes -
The basic tutorial is on your member home page. :) But the FAQ is a great place for information as well.Need to contact me? Read this first.
I sometimes get busy and miss things. If your private message, question, etc. gets missed please ping me so I can follow up with you. I am also always happy to explain or clarify. (HAJ does not have a customer service email, please send me a forum message! )

Tattoos are visual (usually, a tattoo can be placed on the inner lip and not seen) designs used by players to mark horses they have created or bred or certain genes, generations, etc. The ability to use tattoos is an upgrade feature, starting with the basic upgrade.
In the game, and in real-life, genes are sections of DNA in the nucleus of the cells that create or control or adapt features of an organism. In the game we deal only with those genes and mutations of genes that affect the colors and color patterns of our horses. Genes have the ability to be handed down from parent to foal through the generations. If a color or pattern is common in real horses (think bay, chestnut, gray, dun, roan, tobiano, splash to name the most common) it will be common in the game. Others are somewhat rare like champagne or rabicano, very rare like satin or White 10, or extremely rare--these genes are special ones for which the player has paid real money to own a license to breed.
All horses for free accounts belong to the "National" breed. Players with a Basic Upgrade may create a breed name for the horses they create or breed, so long as it isn't a real breed name like thoroughbred or Arab, and is also not an English word found in a dictionary, the name of a region or place. My stable name is SandyCreekAcres, so I looked up ways to say Sandy Creek in other languages and settled on the German Bachsandigen.Post edited by SandyCreekAcres at 2018-12-19 08:48:21
