How did you all find hunt and jump?
I seen ads on Facebook and thought about playing but once I started seeing them on Instagram I decided to take the plunge and play! :) -
I honestly don’t even remember! I think I started playing back in 2010 on my first account (139839 - I still remember LOL). I was probably searching for horse games in all honesty. Here I am all these years later still playing. The game keeps getting better, too! :)
-
I saw an ad on Facebook back in 2010. I steered my daughter to it and then watched over her shoulder while she played for 8 months until I felt confident enough about playing to create my own account in 2011. :D
I'll second Sharayah Stables' comment about the continually improvements in the game. Ammit does a great job at keeping it exciting and fresh. -
I think I started playing in high school and would also play like Howrse and PonyBox and such, but once college started I really didn't have a ton of time to play and then Hunt and Jump was easy to play without having to get on and do a bunch of busy work everyday (even tho I love all the beginning of the month breeding season work lol) It's just so nice to be able to to miss a week of playing and nothing go bad haha. (I'm also bored because it's winter break)ID# 218421

I was following a nasty blog that was SUPPOSED to point out conformation flaws in horses, but was really just a bunch of trolls trying to make themselves feel smart. They tried to body shame a trainer who happened to be riding Ammits horse. Ammits responses to the trolls made a LOT of sense. Unlike many of the other trolls, I wanted more information about the situation, and found out about the game and started playing. Liked the group over here WAY better than the trolls and stayed. That was 11 years ago!

I've played for about 12 years now... I dont remember how I found the game but I was probably searching for a horse sim game, I used to play a lot of them. I've taken a couple short breaks when life has gotten to busy but otherwise I've been here.Licenses for everything. I have a pixel pony hoarding problem.

I saw facebook ads for a couple months. I've been learning about horse color genetics, and I honestly needed a new creative outlet that could be played in fits and bits around work, so I gave it try. Only been here for two months so far, but I like it.

I've been playing for 9 years. I have always been fascinated by genetics and got to wondering how the coat colours of horses were determined. I googled the subject and read a few sites about how the genetics worked but kept seeing this game pop up in the search with the words 'real colour genetics'. Out of curiosity I tried it (I was playing Howrse at the time) and found this game far superior - mature players (in attitude, not necessarily age), a good playing experience without having to pay to get anywhere, a really supportive playing community - the list is endless! It wasn't too long before I decided it was worth paying for an upgrade, and to this day it is the only game I play online that I pay for. Add to that the fact that Ammit is personally involved in the game and updates the genetics in line with new discoveries, as well as introducing new ways of keeping us interested, and you can see why so many of us have played the game for years. Long may it continue! :)
-
I believe the way I found it was the exact same way you did :) I saw it on Facebook loads of times, then it started popping up on Instagram. Finally one day I decided to look for a horse game to play since I hadn't played one in ages and I remembered the ads and looked it up. Been hooked ever since. Ammit does a fabulous job!

I found the game because someone was talking about it on a horse group on fb that was a few yrs ago and ive been addicted since =)
-
I found it while searching for horse games in 2012, I took a loooong break and just recently started playing again on my old account. My account says made in 2012 but I barely have any awards, and I’m trying to build up my show bonus atm. Lots of changes makes it exciting, just wish I had the extra cash to buy genes :((
-
During high school each break I would look up games to play (horse, dog, neopets etc) newyears Eve eve I googled horse sim and it popped up so I joined.Breeding even generation Grullos with KP, Axiom RBG & Wrong Warp, Chinnchilla, Onyx, Phantom Autumn, Bats, Ghosts, Pumpkins, Skulls & Spiders, Plaid, Watercolour genes

It's so cool to see how everyone found this game! I used to breed holland lop rabbits so I was always looking up rabbitry websites. One of the sites had a referral link to H&J (then called HAJINC) and since I also rode horses I clicked it and signed up. That was in 2008 and still have no idea who it was who had that link on their website but I've been addicted ever since! Any rabbit breeders still on here that have played since 2008 or before?ID 40045

I've been friends with Endingfire for many years - we originally met either through a rp club for Dragonriders of Pern, or through HorseCountry where we played together. That was about 20 years ago. She told me about this game back in 2010. I joined so we could play together. We've played other horse related games, but this is the one we've been playing the most consistently.

I found HaJ through a Gmail ad. Can't remember how but I do remember thinking it was a strange place to find it. Only been on since end of October and on HaJ 2 since November this year but I'm now in love with the simplicity and beauty this game has! And this community is the best I've EVER SEEN!
-
I started playing a long long time ago lol. I think it was 2006, I remember it was in my college apartment, and I had an old Compaq desktop that was so slow. I can't remember exactly how I found the game, but I was playing other webpage based games, so the automation of Hajinc is what attracted me. I stayed for the genetics, learned so much from this game. I took a hiatus for several years, but it's exciting to be back.

It's awesome hearing everyone's story about this game and how far its come!
When I was in 9th grade I use to play a webpage game called Horseland and it was almost exactly like hunt and jump but it was a little more high maintenance but you got to customize your horse's picture and some of the pictures people would create were simply stunning! I wish I could find some of the photos that I had done myself but sadly they are forever lost... just found out last month that horseland is perminatley closing on January 1st :( -
So, I had been playing pocket frogs on my iPad. When I switched to an android tablet I lost my game. I asked Google for a genetics game, and it delivered.
-
A friend of mine first found this game way back in 2006. (This is not my original account) I spent many years playing on and off again. I made and lost so many accounts. Finally in 2012 or so I got serious into playing and I have been hooked ever since.
