Auction Question?
-
So this is just out of curiosity, not trying to get in trouble or anything.. I was reading through the rules and saw this - "HuntAndJump.com does have a public auction yard with a killer buyer" what does this mean in the game? How does someone "kill" a horse in this game? NOT asking so I can do it, honestly asking because I've never heard of this in the game and I am confused on what it means. Is it 1 specific account who is the "kill buyer"? Is it the admin?
Not sure if anyone would know, but I was curious because I hadn't heard of this before. Happy Holidays! -
The horse gets deleted from the game thats what it means by kill
-
The game itself has over hundreds of thousands of horses, both on active accounts and deactived and quiet accounts. Lots and lots of pixels, stats, showing records, etc.
So its not a "kill" buyer per se. If you sell a horse in auction and no one buys, it goes to the server barn (im guessing eun or administered by the admin im not sure). If the game recognizes a high PT foal, a horse with the potential to have a hugh PT but is not tested - both altered and unaltered - as well as perfect and exceptional create foundations, it will hold them to resell. Both as public sale (2500 or 2750, for an above-average perfect foundation).
If its none of those, then its removed from the game. Essentially this "auction" barn cleans up some of the excess horses that cant necessary be resold or used to give the game a little better performance.
Imagine if we had 8 million pixle ponies still in game but in this auctions barn. The game would be way wayyy slower xD
Hopefully that answers the question, im sure other players will chirp in to correct me ^.^ -
Actually, Foundation Rescue, owner number 13, only rescues perfect foundations--PT 9.9, 100% showing ability; C or Yellow papered but 100% breeding ability; perfectly consistent, always getting the same score when shown each week. I'm not certain what standards cause the difference in price.

I remember reading once that the 2750 horses from the Foundation Rescue are better breeders and therefore are more expensive than the other ones. Never tested it though!

Perfect foundations, where ever they live, or however they are acquired, are perfect. They have 9.9 PT scores, which is the highest a 'naturally' created horse can have (naturally meaning no great, or exceptional in the description....it is one that that ANYBODY can create using the Create A Horse button'). They also have the best breeding 'score' that a naturally created horse can have. We don't know what the good and bad breeding 'scores' are, they're a secret, but these horses have the best of those secret scores. Perfect Foundations are not as good as Exceptional producers, in the breeding shed, but they are still better than the numerous randomly created horses in the game.
