Brindle Help
-
What genes actually make a horse brindle? Idk if this is a stupid question haha I’m obsessed with them but really wonder how they become brindle! :-))
-
Brindle is not able to be genetically bred for like say a grullo or Dun because brindle is when a foal absorbs their twin in the uterus so getting a brindle foal is kind of hard, you can get a brindle foal out of 2 non brindle horses too but having 2 brindle parents does increase your odds for a brindle foal
-
Wow that’s so interesting I had absolutely no idea! Thank you!
-
Even with 2 brindle parents, the odds of getting a brindle foal are very small. If you love brindles, the best way to get them is through the brindle rank special herd helpers.Breeding high quality Sheldasen horses in all the fancy colors.
