Message for OCS2019

For some reason the private messaging feature isn't working for your account yet, so here is my answer to your request for a review of your stable in the New Member Lounge.
Here are some of the things I'm seeing in your stable.
Intro: Hunt and Jump is a game of strategy and patiently building a herd to reach a self-chosen goal. Very little happens in a hurry, so try not to get discouraged or impatient as you are beginning to play.
1. Because your stallion is a Rank Special, we know that he is a Perfect Foundation. This will make him a keeper for you.
2. His two colts, however, are the same paper level as he is, so they would probably be more helpful to you if you neutered them and made them show horses. They have decent PT scores for 2nd generation horses. It will take a while before they will earn you much in showing bonus, since foals don't train, but they will be more help as show horses than as breeding horses.
3. Of your two spayed mares, Dun It Again has a relatively low PT, but since she came with points, she's making more each night in showing bonus than it costs to continue showing her. She won't add points very quickly in Level 1 classes, where she's likely to be for a while yet, but she's worth keeping until you can build up a sound herd of show horses. The yearling filly has a very nice PT score, so even though she won't start training and ascending the showing ladder until February, she's worth hanging on to.
4. Your non-pastured intact mares are sound prospects. I recommend putting them into the pasture so they can build a good bonus before next season. This will put all your intact mares in pasture where they can't be shown, but the improvement in their potential foals will be worth it in the long run. I would also recommend being patient until the pastures automatically breed on Feb. 14 when you log in. (Here's where the patience comes in. *G*) This will give most of them the full 30 day bonus, which is worth waiting for. Your pastured mares are okay, but you may lose Walkin on Sunshine at the end of the month, since she's 17 now. Don't panic about her yet. She may just survive another game year or two, so I'd recommend leaving her where she is.
5. Your intact filly has a nice PT score for a 2nd generation horse, so I recommend keeping her intact and starting to show her in February when she turns 2. Her paper level is the same as her dam's, so if you keep her for breeding, it will probably pay off.
6. You will find 3 high point show horses waiting for you here: https://www.huntandjump.com/buddy_chat.php?chatid=586
They will give your showing bonus a boost. :)Post edited by SandyCreekAcres at 2019-01-17 19:44:29 -
Are you wanting me to purchase all 3?

Thank you!! I have purchased all 3!!

You're very welcome! I'm so glad that I have enough horses to be able to help new players. Those three should keep on bringing you showing bonus money until they age out of the game.
-
Thank you! It is greatly appreciated. I will definitely repay the favor once I get going!
-
The best way to repay it is to help out a newer player when your stable is established enough that you can do it. I have so many horses that I have to keep a close eye on my bank account so it doesn't go over 10 million hajibucks. :D
-
I will definitely repay it once established. Low on $$ but that's the name of the game when starting out :) Have a nice string started (In my opinion) so now to wait... which I'm bad at.

Messages will work now that she has created a forum account. They won't until the member looks at the forum for the first time.Need to contact me? Read this first.
I sometimes get busy and miss things. If your private message, question, etc. gets missed please ping me so I can follow up with you. I am also always happy to explain or clarify. (HAJ does not have a customer service email, please send me a forum message! )

Thanks, Ammit. I finally figured out that something like that was probably why it wasn't going through.
