This is a bit of an oddball question but I've been wondering... what determines hoof color in-game?

You know, I'm kind of curious about that too. It seems like sometimes a horse with dark legs has light hooves, and vice versa. :-?

Yeah, that's actually what made me curious to start with! I have a few black livers and this actually black mare with really pale hooves (she does have a lot of white though).

Well that one has pale hooves because of the white legs, small socks etc may have either dark or light hooves. Just like real life. I have tobianos at home with dark hooves, admittedly most have light hooves, but sometimes you get some pigment just above the hoof so get dark hooves

Oh I see. I wasn't sure if it was directly related to base color or white factor or... what exactly. That's pretty much what I suspected in her case :)

So if I'm understanding right, even though this girl has a dark base, its the large white factor and kit genes/frame that make her hooves pale?
