I don't know which of my mares should have spiders and which should have bats XC

these are the mares (Yes they can have them already looked it up)

Can someone help me decide what one should get bats and what one should get spiders? Could I have both spiders and bats on the same horse?

Do both on both! Yes, you can put spiders on one allele and bats on the other and both will show. Lucy has spiders and pumpkins!

Did you buy 2 strands for both? or 1 each for her?

There is only one phantom locus, or "spot" on the genetic code, so a horse can have any two phantom gene copies, but only two total, one from each parent. So she has one spider gene and one pumpkin gene. All her foals will get one or the other from her, but never both, because they will get one from her and one from their sire. Make sense? (I GMTed her future mate too though, so the babies will get one from him too)

I think I messed up because I got both but only bats show up lol still love her though

Ah yup, look at the tattoos. You put them both on the first stand, which changed spiders to bats. To get spiders too you'll need to change the OTHER strand. At least it's a cheap gene to make that mistake with

Oh littlehalo, that's a risky thing to do with an untested normal create!! I would have tested her before putting any bought genes on her!
