What is mosaic DNA?
-
I got a bunch of mares and a stallion with it, but when I breed them the babies don't have it. What exactly is it?
-
It's a genetic mutation, that causes brindling. It is not directly inheritable, but brindle parents have an itsy bitsy better chance of producing brindle offspring. But you could also get brindles from non-brindle parents.ID 195859

Mosaic means DNA from more than one individual. Not a mutation.Need to contact me? Read this first.

Like what kind of DNA? Like kit or just random ones? Most of my ones who have it came from rank 6/special DHH.
-
Brindle in this case comes from twins with 2 different sets of DNA that fused into one fetus..

0.o @Bambi207 ew sorry but that makes me rethink the Brindles I have

I need to correct my above post. I described Chimeric. Mosiac means more than one KIND of DNA. Sometimes but not always that means more than one individual. All chimeras are mosaic, not all mosaics are chimeras.Need to contact me? Read this first.
