My kind neighbour
-
We have a lovely neighbour called Pam who is, I think, in her eighties. This morning my husband and I saw her in the supermarket while we were doing the weekly shop. She told us that she had bought an anniversary card for her daughter to give to her husband on Monday because during lockdown she hadn't been able to get one herself. I told Pam that it was a coincidence because today is our wedding anniversary, and because of lockdown my husband and I hadn't been able to go out separately to buy a card for each other. We each then continued with our shopping. When we got home Pam had returned before us, and while we were unloading the shopping she came out and gave us a bunch of flowers for our anniversary because we had no cards. @};- :)
In these difficult times it is the small acts of kindness that greatly outweigh the stories of selfishness. -
awww ; its stuff like that ; that lets me believe there IS still good in the world

No. I'm sure there are a lot of Pams in the world. I have a sister-in-law of that name as a matter of fact.
