So I know I have to have a Surrogate Mare to implant the egg into but I have a few questions:

1: Does the Surrogate Mare have to be Unbred for the Season? I’m guessing Yes. So if Yes then lets say I have 5 eggs do I have to have a different mare to implant each egg into?

2: Can I use a Stallion that is offering breedings or do I have to have straws from a Stallion?

3: How exactly do I do this? So do I go to Advanced Breeding Lab, pick the egg & straw that I want to breed together and then implant that into a Surrogate Mare?

4: Does the Surrogate Mare have any effect on the foal?

I apologize for sounding like an Idiot but I’ve never done this before.

I may not be correct about this, but I think I can answer some of these.

1. Yes. A surrogate mare still carries the foal for the same amount of time as a mare who was bred normally, so that counts as breeding her for the season.

2. The stallions standing at public stud are the equivalent of live cover breeding, so you would have to use a straw because a stallion can’t breed an egg.

3. You click Create Embryo in the Advanced Breeding Lab.

4. The surrogate mare has no effect on the foal in game (in real life the surrogate could influence the foal’s behavior and temperament). Only the mare and stallion that created the foal have any genetic influence (just like with a human surrogate).
