Hi! Im Lucky, and I love horses. I just bred my first colt from a mare i bought from the horse search, and a stallion I created. The colt will be of breeding age by March 21st, which is actually my b-day.

I figure this will keep me busy, lol.

Hey! So if a horse is pointed and breeds to another pointed does a foal come out with more to offer or how does breeding horses of better quality produce better foals or is that a thing??

Papering a horse helps you know how well that horse will do as a breeder. Breeding papered horses of the same level also gives you a better chance at a foal that will not be spayed or gelded. So you should breed C x Yellow, B x Red, and A x Blue.

That might not make much sense (I have a communication disorder and I’m not that great with words sometimes), so it might help you to ask about this in the Player Support chat room where a more experienced player can give you a better explanation :)

I'm late to introduce myself, but here goes! I'm in my mid-thirties and have loved horses my entire life. I rode hunters/jumpers when I was much younger. I currently have a pony for my young daughter that I keep at a barn about an hour away. It's a very western barn (a working ranch that also teaches rodeo events), so it's a huge culture shock compared to the barns I was used to. I'm hoping that my daughter continues to ride as she gets older. Her pony is a shetland, so much too small for me to ride. I hope that when she outgrows him we can find a good large pony or small horse that I can ride as well.

It looks like most people breed for certain colours. Would it be possible to breed for height? I think it would be fun to try and breed the smallest cobs that I could.

Of course, that makes sense! Well, for now I'm just having fun figuring everything out. Maybe once I have lots of show horses I will see if I can reach the lower size limit for cobs.
