    I know its kinda early to ask this but ; with SS starting ; if the gene the giftee wants comes up prior to the 15th ; will it be back after the 15th? I dont want to blow my " anon" status or gift too early, but I also want to make sure I get the gene they want

    You can buy it for a horse you own then transfer the gene license and the horse using the gift exchange. There is zero guarantee it will come up again. It just depends on how rare of a gene it is.
