What would y’all do?

So I’ve got a bit of a conundrum here. This season I bred this cute gen 3 colt:
12423141 und
He tested superior to the gen 3 colt I’m raising up for stud.
3GA Dragon Catcher
Normally replacing the lesser stud would be a no brainer, but the new colt is only het for pearl and I can’t add it onto him as his dam didn’t have it. :( I’m trying to establish a fully homozygous pearl line, and by gen3 I’m wanting homozygous studs at the least.
I’m debating changing him to a mare (I’m much more willing to accept g3 het mares than studs) or just waiting and hanging onto him to see if I produce a better colt with homozygous pearl in the next few seasons. What would y’all do in this situation?I mostly play on mobile so I can't usually see signatures!
Breeding Pearl Warmbloods, Little Red Riding Ponies, and... whatever else suits my fancy lol. -
Yeah, I’d change the younger one to a mare, or keep both and just have a backup stallion.

You could wait untill he is 3 to make the decision too :) By then you might have gotten a homozygous colt that is just as good as the younger one.ID 195859
