You can only train your horses once a week, so that's why you can't train them again today!
About the horse you want to show: do you have a link to the horse? Thats always very helpful! It could be that the horse you want to show already has competed in two shows this week. A horse can only enter in two shows a week. It could also be that you don't have enough money to show, or that the barn the horse is in has more horses than it can keep (for example if you have a 20 horse barn and there are 21 horses in it [which is possible when you buy a horse] none of the horses can show unless you move one out of it).

There are a few good guides to help you get started! Be sure not to only read the stickies but to also click on the member written guides. Some are a bit outdated though, but still very helpful for understanding the game! :)
