Do KIT Genes Influence Spot Size?
-
CF3 12753577
This girl had 1 copy of Kit M from her sire, and I used a GMT to remove it. Her spot size was reduced by half.
Has anyone else seen this? I'm super disappointed that her spots got smaller, since that is a big goal of my breeding program. And it looked really good on her since you can see the Dun Factor on her spots more clearly. -
Theoretically they shouldn’t since they aren’t on the same allele (sorry if that’s not the right term, I’m having trouble with my words today).
She still looks gorgeous and has some good sized spots :)Post edited by Nightphoenix at 2021-07-01 10:35:22I’m autistic and I struggle with any kind of communication, so I apologize in advance if I say anything rude or offensive because there’s a 99% chance that I have no clue I did it. I appreciate your patience with me! -
You can reroll her picture and see if you get bigger spots.

No Kit genes have nothing to do with spot size but the appy generator was worked on recently which means her random spots may have changed. Also she has halo. Any shrinking is probably that.Need to contact me? Read this first.
I sometimes get busy and miss things. If your private message, question, etc. gets missed please ping me so I can follow up with you. I am also always happy to explain or clarify. (HAJ does not have a customer service email, please send me a forum message! )
