Since there are auto show and enter a whole barn features, big chunks of horses are entered in shows all at once, so sometimes there aren’t enough shows for all the horses. If you wait a minute or two there should be some new shows available. You don’t actually have to wait the full 15 minutes for more shows to appear. I just keep clicking it and I can usually enter a horse in under a minute after the game finishes entering whatever chunk of horses it is processing at the moment :)

I’m just too impatient to wait that long, haha!

I had the same problem a few times when I logged in tonight. I've figured that the shows I tried to enter had only one space available and someone got their horse in first while I was still entering. Tonight I've been able to enter all of my horses in shows twice, so thank you all for your advice!
