You can start by reading the entries on the FAQ User Guide, found under Resources in the left menu. At the top of the forum page is a post called "Basic Information for New Players" which will also help you understand the game.

Don't be afraid to ask questions, here in the forum. The more specific the question, the easier it is to answer. We're a very friendly community and are always willing to help new players.

Create a stallion and some mares and try breeding them. Don't look down on horses that are neuters. They will be the best money makers in the long run.

Work you way through the Achievement Tasks found on the right side of the screen. This will introduce you to the many things you can do in the game.

This is a very complex game, so don't expect to master it quickly. I've been playing since 2011, and I still learn new things about the game from time to time.

Note: I play using a computer, so my suggestions are based on what I see on my monitor. I'm not sure what might be changed if you're playing on a smart phone. You should still be able to locate the FAQ and list of Achievement Tasks.
