So proud of my town

I am so proud of my town. For the last 4-5 yrs the Pre-K, K, & 1st graders do a fund raiser called “Hike for the Hive”. My son is in K and my nephew is in 1st. With the Covid stuff they haven’t gotten to do it. They did this year, today. They had a goal of $15K. A little girl in my son’s class has leukemia. These kids ended up raising almost $25K and are donating half of that money to her treatments. I am SOOO proud of these kids and this town. This is happy Friday y’all!

Wow! That's fantastic! Those kids are learning a lesson as important as reading, writing and arithmetic. Congratulations to this great group of children and all those who have supported them.

Thank you. They definitely are. My town has a bit of a reputation as being stuck up and snobby. This just proves the opposite, we take care of our own, and these kids will take care of each other. All these amazing kids and the tons of parents that could be there today..... it shows how close and tight knit we really are. I love this town.
