Morgans! They are intelligent, kind, curious, athletic, and they have such beautiful heads and elegant movement. I love how versatile the breed is too.
-
I'd have to say the American Mustang. I've owned 2 now, and I've watched several others grow and mature into the domesticated life. They are phenomenal! It blows my mind that they can go from untouched to completely trusting in such a short period of time.
-
Growing up I always wanted Arabians but I lived in Quarter Horse country. It took a long time, but I eventually gained a love for the breed, especially the old style foundation quarter horses. They are so smart, full of heart, athletic and level headed, and if you treat them right they'll do anything for you.Starstruck2 on Bluegrass and Forest

I have always loved the gated breeds, but the Tennessee Walker takes the cake for me! Tall and elegant with good smooth gates and are Amazing to watch in the show ring too! And a kind temperament as well, their just lovely to be around! :xPost edited by HorseAngel at 2022-03-04 05:44:22Celestial Angels, The Balinor Breed! We Specialize In Riding Horses & Ponies!

nothing beats the elegance of the Friesian horse. I can draw them all day long!
-
I too grew up with quarter horses as we were play day enthusiasts when I was growing up, however my dying love was always an Arabian horse. I did end up getting one for a birthday present! He was the most loyal and fun loving of all the horses in my life! So for me an Arabian is where it is at.
With that being said I could take a babydoll head pinto quarter horse any day LOL!Post edited by Tzano at 2022-03-04 08:24:39 -
I don't know if I could pick just one favorite. I've worked with a variety of breeds, and each had lovely qualities and unique personalities. I love Arabians for their loyal, energetic, long-lasting nature, and of course they're gorgeous(the older lines; I don't like like the extreme dish faces that are so common now). I'd take a good stock Quarter Horse any day for their mind and versatility, and Morgans for a similar reason. I'm in love with Kiger Mustangs, and they're so hardy and versatile(as well as gorgeous; I love a thickly built horse), plus they are native to my home state. I love the powerful speed and athletic ability of Thoroughbreds. Akhal-Tekes are another favorite for me because they are one of the oldest breeds in the world, closely related to Arabians, their unique hair structure gives them a golden sheen, and they tend to develop a super close bond with just one person in their lives.
But I also love my big horses, especially Drum Horses! They're sweet, big, and flashy, just a bigger version of a Gypsy Vanner. I love that Tinkers were bred by Romany people to be strong enough to pull a caravan, but with the temperament to be a good babysitter for the kids. So the fact that Drum Horses are all that in a bigger size is pretty perfect! Maybe that's my top favorite breed...Post edited by MackZ at 2022-03-04 09:29:35 -
Ever since I learned about horses I knew Arabians had to be my favorite. But of course every now and then I stray over to the other breeds. Mustangs and Percherons have to be the second and third favorites!Licensed for: Phantom Lace, Phantom Hearts, Phantom Skulls, Phantom DMSP, Apple Picking, Bouqet, Roses, Shamrock, Phantom Wisps, Chinchilla, ONYX, Splash M, Height Regulator, PBC, PBW, Watercolor, Axiom Green, Axiom Blue, Toner, and Mushroom

For color, I love appaloosas. Not 100% sure why. I have loved them for as long as I can remember.
For movement, I really like Friesian horses. That one changes periodically. -
I grew up with quarter horses, but was hired to train a Foxtrotter last year. I ended up buying her, and I am completely sold on the breed.
-
My first horse was an Arabian. Super smart and easy going.
He was the bestest boy. :x
I have shuffled around with Quarter Horses, Paints and Appaloosas
throughout my life since then. Always had a love for the color breeds, but
the sanest horses I have had were my QHs. I did have an Appaloosa/TB cross.
She was a saint, even for a mare. So, I believe that any good, minded horse
is my favorite. :-)) -
Quarter horses are my favorite. They’re beautiful, versatile, and generally easy-going :D
