I'm trying to build up my show barn and I'm trying to figure out if these mares are good show prospects or which is better?
thanks

Well they both come with points so that’s often enough to be worth keeping. However, I’d say the first horse is better because she’s younger, which gives her more time to show, she has more points, and you know her PT score is over 9 so she’ll still train for a few years. Just looking at her total points, lifetime payout and daily payout, she is slightly better.
The second horse is still training as opposed to levelled off, so her PT score must be above 8, but she just doesn’t quite have the same points as the first mare. Not a huge difference (I would keep both) but if you’re dealing with limited space, the first one is slightly better.ID #265959 | He/him | Breeding Black Satin, Liver, and Grullo Arcturus Horses | Licenses: Mushroom, DFP2, Onyx, Axiom Blue and Green -

Just wanted to say, the last one is from the foundation rescue, and all horses in the foundation rescue will have a PT of 9.9 and be perfectly consistant :)ID 195859

Also I would hang onto that foundation rescue at least until she's 10, she's showing well right now so possibly even longer, but at 10 you'll make her full lifetime payout instead of 2500 at auctionStarstruck2 on Bluegrass and Forest

10 years is the magic number. ok!
is that true for only Foundation Rescue horses? -
That's true for all horses, regardless of generation. At 10 most horses have been showing for a while and will have accumulated a nice amount of points. They're also much closer to leveling off(or they already are) and have less time to improve in their showing ability. Personally, I like to hold on to all show horses until they have leveled off, then evaluate their show record. If they aren't showing well and are between the ages of 10 and 14 I'll put them in auction for full lifetime payout.Post edited by MackZ at 2022-05-03 22:11:05Might be addicted to pixel ponies...
