Does Inbreeding Affect The Quality of Your Line?
-
Hello,
Does anyone know if inbreeding your horses affects the chances of producing quality offspring? Never having a ton of cash on this game, I tend to breed predominantly to my own horses... most of which have a few common ancestors. It seems like my chances of producing a quality foal (one that PTs/papers at the level of or higher than it's parents) is much greater though when I breed to a completely unrelated horse. Is this just bad luck or is there really some hidden effect of over breeding in the same line?
Thanks in advance,
TP -
In breeding has no affect on horses or the quality of your herd. Many players do it. Since the horses are not real they do not have the health hazards, such as real horses.

I have extensively bred half brother to sisters this year. They all share the same exceptional producer, boosted foundation sire and I'm really happy with the results! Lots of really high PT 3G all chestnut pedigree foals.Post edited by zzahra84 at 2015-05-19 05:40:20

Okay well thank you both for your responses! It's good to know I have not sabotaged my own breeding project. I guess I just need to test everyone more thoroughly before rolling the dice...Thanked by 1Abbey98
