Click the little check mark to select everyone in a barn then select the pasture from the menu under the barn to move them. You definitely don't have to select individually

What do you mean?

Oh? that sounds handy. Once they are in the pasture you can move them the same way you do in barns but you can't pull them from somewhere else you always have to send them from where they are.

Or you just made too good of a game

At first, I wasn't happy about the change (though any change does that for me) but it didn't take long for me to get used to sending horses from barn rather than pulling them from pasture, and now I actually really prefer it. The only drawback is that I can't see right off in barn which mares have been bred or not, but the view in search can handle that and then I can select exactly 100 mares to put in my 100-acre pasture, so it really works out nicely. And if you have a huge barn that you want to pull multiple batches of mares out of, you can just hit the back button twice to go back to the same "unbred mares" search again and select another 100 and move them out. :)
