How to remove white squiggles?
  • I'm considering buying this horse, but would want a lot less appy blanket so the snow shows. Is it the hom patn that does the size of the blanket? Or something else? (answered)

  • Yes, it is the PATN1 that causes the large blanket. Removing 1 copy will make it smaller.

  • Thank you, mensie. what if I remove both copies? Will I still have snow?
  • Yep since it is hom snow, the snow will show.

  • I bought the first one only to discover I can't remove the patn on either gene.
  • The white squiggles are from the Kit M. Both parents are het for it so you could remove it, but it's often considered a valuable gene, so you could instead change the white factor from minimal to none. That should keep it from showing, or at least reduce it.

  • If both parents are HOM for any gene you cant remove it from the offspring ; in this case both parents were HOM PATN

  • Anni, are you saying the kit M can't be removed or the patn?
  • the PATN : both parents are HOM for PATN ; so you cant remove it,
on the KitM Horse both are HET so you can remove one of the Kit's

  • The one with the squiggles is the kit M?

I thought if you sold it's foals back to the game, it would remove them and the horse would then have no offspring to prevent editing genes?

  • You can't genetically modify a horse that has foals, but even with no foals you can only modify lined horses with what they can receive from their parents.
Oh and yes those white patches are KIT M, usually a fairly valued gene

  • The foals are still being held by the auction bidder. You have to wait 24 hours for them to be deleted permanently.
