Stallions will paper C, B, A and Star. Mares will paper Yellow, Red, Blue and Gold. You need to aim to cross a C with a Yellow, B with Red, A with Blue and Star with Gold.

Start with Foundation horse that are C/Yellow, or, if you get a Herd Helper that gives you an Exceptional Producer you can start with B/Red. As you go up the generations you want to be looking at getting better papers.

Performance testing and consistency don't matter, they are to do with showing ability.
