Papers & Testing
  • Can someone explain to me Paper colors/letters? It looks like they are different for mares vs stallions/geldings. What's the highest for each? Is there a color or letter is should be going for for Breeding? I've been trying to restrict my studs to A and B's, so I hope that's right, but what amd I looking for in mares? I have a couple gold mares, but I have a lot of red or blue and a few yellows, too.

Also, does Performance testing/consistency matter? Or is it random?
  • Stallions will paper C, B, A and Star. Mares will paper Yellow, Red, Blue and Gold. You need to aim to cross a C with a Yellow, B with Red, A with Blue and Star with Gold.

Start with Foundation horse that are C/Yellow, or, if you get a Herd Helper that gives you an Exceptional Producer you can start with B/Red. As you go up the generations you want to be looking at getting better papers.

Performance testing and consistency don't matter, they are to do with showing ability.

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure.
