Mares too old to breed?
-
Hi all! I'm sorry if this is a silly question, I'm just getting back into playing after many years of being away and wasn't able to find this recently answered here on the forum: Do mares become too old to breed at a certain age? Does this also apply to creating embryos with older mares? Is there no option to pull just eggs from mares?
Thank you! -
Horses can no longer breed once they turn 20, but existing straws, eggs, and embryos should be perfectly good to use, which is part of the point of pulling them so those genetics are preserved for future use. But you can't pull straws, eggs, or embryos from horses that have already become to old to breed. As for breeding age horses, you should be able to pull straws if you have a basic upgrade and eggs and embryos if you have a premium upgrade.

Understood, thank you so much! :)
