This is Morel's last season and I just bred his pasture for the last time. I think now I'm going to clear it out to start a new foundation line for era 14. Morel was my first GMT project, a chocolate palomino appy with lots of fancy genes, and I've loved the babies he throws. I'm going to miss seeing them every month. My favorites are the full leopard appy chocolate palominos, but the sad part is it's impossible to get that to breed true! So many beautiful horses in my Morel line ended up snipped, and a lot of my best of pasture babies didn't get cream or appy spots. :(

So, I'm thinking my new line is going to be something true breeding, that way I can focus just on culling for quality without having to cull for color. Maybe something silver black like I had when I first started on the game. I'm torn between keeping it open gene, just adding S+, P+, ND1, and DP, my usual favorites. Or making this a fantasy line and working on the nacre silver black chinchilla idea I've had for a while. I guess I'll see when the gene sales start. Either way, this is definitely going to be a hom tobiano, hom belton spotting line! I can't wait to get started on it.

So how about you? Any new lines in mind for the new era next month? Any particular December rank special herd helpers in the lineup you have your eye on for GMT projects?

Awww I loved Morel! I was just putting together some of his straws for embryos tonight.

Nacre silver black chin sounds like it would be stunning! I hope you do it :)

As for projects, I'm also starting a belton line! Sort of with whatever color makes it's way in lol, I'm partial to browns so it'll be sooty and DP heavy. The belton stud I created is a red dun base but he had a slate grey coat so I think it would be fun see what crosses I can get off of him!

I'm going to try and incorporate some Belton into my Fawn lines which are eventually going to be narrowed down to collectable riding ponies with appy spots and belton spots and brown based

@CLynnRose- I have a few of your Morels from auction. They are the prettiest horses. His line has done well!

it's sad to see them go but 526 foals and through his offspring he will continue to stamp his style. i I own quite a few of his offspring and when the mares have their foals i can tell by how they look that they come from his line.
i agree with Orions stable his line has done very well.

i have created a grey champagne tobiano stud with belton ticking with phantom he is still a work in progress and hopefully finished in December. it's been a slow go adding my fav genes. we shall see

I'm planning to finish up my new fantasy stud in December. I have two colts that will each be getting two of the licensed Axiom genes(and maybe some other genes as well), and then I'll merge them to create my main stud for my fantasy line.
I also just combined two of my original lines for a more randomized mix of Tobiano, W8, Kit M, and Appaloosa with a variety of base coats.

I started an era 13 breeding project just to see how fast I could get them to Star/Gold. So far they are on A/Blue and I've had fun with my little challenge. I will probably start a similar era 14 breeding project too. I normally don't breed for specific colors, but maybe for era 14 I will try generating them all from the same herd helper type and seeing where they end up.

I'm going to be using my new stud he just needs one more ice gene and if I'm lucky axred.

Thanks, @Oatsman, @OrionsStables, and @Leefe, I'm so glad Morel's line is living on in other stables as well. :x

Leefe, your gray champagne tobiano project sounds great! I was thinking about starting a gray champagne line as well if gray reduction comes up again. Classic champagne is always a favorite of mine but when champagne is combined with gray, I can't decide which base coat I love best. They're all beautiful.

Everyone's projects sound so exciting! Hopefully all the genes we need come up. I'm looking forward to seeing them finished. :)
