You can do any gene lab or RGS edits you like and it can't change the era. Adding fantasy genes will make the horse ineligible for any of the era clubs (also the size and other color clubs too) but will not actually change the era. Decedents of that horse that don't carry fantasy genes will be eligible for the era club. Only boosting a horse will cause them to drop an era that they were already in. All exceptional creates (expro, exper, ex show) will be created one era lower. Boosting them would also cause them to drop yet another era lower.
