Introducing Stallion Futurities!
-
@Sharayah Stables Fantasy horses are also included in thisThanked by 1ChateauAlbere

Question about fantasy studs in the futurities: since fantasy horses aren't eligible for era clubs, and neither are their offspring with fantasy genes, how will that work in conjunction with the futurities? Will fantasy horses now be eligible for era clubs? Or will we just need to do the math to ensure that the mares used are from the same or a more recent era(to ensure that offspring are of the same era as the stud)?
-
Oh! This could potentially be a fun use for one of my extra stallions. I’ll have to look through them and see if there are any I’d be comfortable with opening up.

Correct. No club membership requiredPost edited by Ammit at 2023-01-27 01:19:07Need to contact me? Read this first.

Foundation/2nd gen/3rd gen studs have the lowest chances to be winners, am I right?
-
That is not correct. The LB is divided by era. Additionally lower PT horses often have more points by age 5 than higher PT. We have no way of knowing where things are going to end up.Need to contact me? Read this first.

Thank you for your answers. I guess I need to clarify what I'm trying to figure out.
In order to have a stallion on the futurities board, his qualifying offspring must be of the same era. Since fantasy studs don't qualify for era clubs, their era is not listed on their page. Same thing for fantasy mares and their offspring. Therefore, I don't know what era my fantasy studs are from. So, if I want to promote my fantasy stud for the futurities, how do I let players know what eras their mares would need to be to get qualifying offspring?Might be addicted to pixel ponies...

@MackZ Era is on all fantasy horses pages, exactly the same place as any horse, just under "bone weight." Where are you looking for this? In the club list?
-
Every horse in the game has an era. :)Need to contact me? Read this first.

Thank you! I completely missed that! I've always looked at the clubs to find a horse's era. I guess I just never registered that it's also listed in the blurb under their picture.
-
If your stallion is in 4 clubs already, do you have to take him out of a breeder club to enter him in the futurity?
-
These are not part of the clubs and are unrelated.Need to contact me? Read this first.

I have two studs I'm thinking of promoting who turn 5 next season, will I have to wait until they're 6 for them to qualify for futuritys!?Desert Rose Performance Horses

@DesertRoseHorses29 It's the stallion's offspring that have to be five for the stallion to qualify for the futurity, not the stallion himself.
-
Updates from the change logs - now all foals age five and under will count, not just foals aged exactly five. Additionally, the foals are not allowed to be owned by anyone who has previously owned the stallion (i.e., you can't breed a stallion a bunch of times, and then sell the stallion in order to qualify).
