Why is this mare era 14?

I have this one, Era 15:

Then I used my 1000 point show horse to make this one, who became Era 14. I didn't think an "exceptional show horse" would bump the era up?
1Y 15 Raise Glass EV -
Any exceptional herd helper makes the horse one era lower than the current era, including exceptional show horses. Otherwise it would be an unfair advantage on the points earned by foundations category of the era 15 club.
