I'm thinking about adding some sort of white markings to this mare, but I can't decide which. I love splash M, but I have a lot of that, so maybe I should get something I don't have much of like W8 or Kit M? What do you think? Anything else I should add?

I’m a huge fan of Kit M and W3, especially with KP2. W8 can create some cool markings with belton, though. I think splash M with W8 would probably create a lot of predominately white horses.

I'm a big fan of Kit M, W3, W8, and Tobiano. I have a variety of those genes in different combos in my KIT line, if you'd like to see how they look together.

Take my opinion with a grain of salt, because I'm not the biggest white fan, but...

I started a W8 line a while back, and I pretty quickly became tired of it because of how it combined with W20 and SB1. It's now hard to breed out these mostly white horses. If you like splash (I don't), you might not dislike the W8/SB1 horses, as it tends to present a splash like pattern (I don't know why).
