Embryo Breeding
  • So I made a few embryos after reading Ammits post about how the leaderboards are changing. Anyhow, I just went to implant them but that tab is missing on the advanced breeding page. Am I missing something? How do I use embryos?
I love Warmbloods with lots of Sooty and DP. Dark Mahogany Bays, Liver Chestnuts, and Blacks make me super happy. I love horses with color, dfp1, nd1, gray, GP, and KP on the dark base. One day I would like to have a herd of high pt, well papered dark beauties. ID# 257941

  • I think you have to go to the breeding tab of one of the parents now. Embryos are listed at the bottom and there's an "implant" button.
  • i had the same problem. find the mare. it's on her page.

  • Or the stallion. It's on both.
  • The change log normally has answers to this sort of thing. :)

Embryo implantation has been moved to the horse page. Go to the breeding tab of any horse you own an embryo from, mare or stallion, owned by you or not, and click on the "Implant" button. You can the list on the "Adv. Breeding Lab" home page to see all your embryos.

Once you select an embryo that one will be listed for on your embryo drop-down. You will then be shown any paternal half-siblings of that embryo, then maternal half-siblings, and finally unrelated embryos. As you implant embryos the embryo count on the horse page you are on will update, as will the embryo selection drop-down so you can always rapidly tell how many related embryos you have left.

  • Will this be the only way to implant embryos? Or will there be a new page in the AI lab where we can implant without having to move from horse to horse?

  • Wondering the same thing as Maribo. I tent to use mares from a variety of places to implant embryos and would have trouble finding them if it was only doable from their page

  • @kgstable @Maribo You can keep implanting from the same horse's page. All your embryos will appear in the drop down, it's just that the more closely related embryos for that horse will be at the top.
    Thanked by 1kgstable
  • Not sure why people think you can only implant the one embryo? I don't think by reading the change log or by trying it you would get that impression
