Does height matter?
-
I'm new here and looking at horses to buy. I think I'd rather focus on ponies, but am wondering if height matters. I don't want to get stuck with a whole herd of ponies that can't jump as well as the warmbloods or something.

As far as I know size has nothing to do with breeding or showing ability, it is purely preference. I have both warmbood and pony lines. I prefer to keep mine separate, but some players interbreed them, and it doesn't affect quality. The only way you can truely tell is when you view their pedigree ( as your lines grow) you will see different sizes in the pedigree. Some people care about this and some don't, just like some players breed for a one color pedigree and some don't.Thanked by 1Four Twenty Farm

There are several highly successful stables that are 100% pony.
I have both, and I interbreed both. No biggie, do what you like. :)Thanked by 1Four Twenty Farm
