We have been needing a high ticket money sink. Something for those of you who are stupid rich in game to waste money on. So I have added GMTs and Boost tokens to the IV manager page.

Prices where set based on the income of the richest 100 players in the game. The price was set so that these items would be inciting for them to spend money on but not so cheap as to be game breaking. GMTs cost 20IVs each (250,000hbs) 1% boosts cost 50IVs (625,000) and 5% boosts cost 200 IVS (2,500,000).

This is not coming to HJ2 at this time as it is not needed.

Also update on the University.

Since the uni was created I have added herd helpers, GMTs, and the ability to convert cash into GMTs. It is now much easier and cheaper to get your dream horse via the GMT lab then it ever was from the Uni lab (people forget about the 3 million dollar geldings and such from people not using it correctly). I can't see any case in which the uni would be a better system to use then the GMT lab.

You can still use your IVs to make fancy horses In fact you get fancier now then you would have.

Buying GMTs with IVs>Uni

I mean, this way you can begin with base you want and just tweak a few things. Much better than building from scratch and having to pay 3 whole IVs to fix simple genes like E and A.

I know there are a lot of people sitting around thinking, "but the university was cheaper!" (And it was. Pearl was, what, 8 IVs a copy times 2 or 3 for a mare or stallion? Pearl is 4 GMTs... that's 80 IVs.)

Free money is free money, guys. Now you just have to wait a little longer and work a little harder, and now you can save your ducats for really impressively shiny things, and things that were never in the university to begin with. Or, like Feather Farms points out, you can start with something closer to ideal and tweak it.

Most people couldn't afford to buy the outlandishly shiny university horses anyway.

Those people are flat out wrong wrong wrong. As is your math. 8 Ivs times 2 or 3 for the stud AND you had to pay for the breeding boosts or you could (and often did) end up with a worthless breeder (people forgot about that all the time) plus you had to pay for all the base colors too. And then if you wanted to breed this year you had to pay extra for that too. So no it wasn't cheaper and anyone who says it was simply did not use it enough to remember how it worked.

So pearl now costs 1 million dollars. There was no way you where getting a breedable horse with any sort of desirable base color out of the uni with pearl for that price.

ETA: At this point now too there is so much pearl out there in the game that anyone who want's it can just have it. It's everywhere. I'm kicking around dropping the price of it a bit because of that.

I can't do much with my IVs anyway. I just looked at what I could shop with IVs and I see I could get a 60 stall barn, but that's not what I need. What I really need are pastures which will cost money and I will just have to save up for two more. Perhaps in several months' time I'll be able to. *shrug*

What where you saving them for then? If you wanted them for a shiny horse you can get that now so I am not sure what the point of your post is.

I stopped using the uni many real years ago, waaayyy easier and cheaper to get an exceptional producer similar color and GMT it. This is going to be a good money sink for me even though I am pretty sure I'm not one of those top 100 lol. :D Thank you!
