Looking buy or brood out, i have a few high pt studs that never get bred since i dont have the right mares yet. Current public broods are untested & usually throw a 12pt from a 13.3/13.7 combo.Post edited by bravo25 at 2019-05-09 13:42:05

You know that PT score does not affect breeding capability, correct?Post edited by LenasHollywood at 2019-05-09 17:38:10

Lena, but higher PT mares (like 13+) will still throw higher scores than a foundation mare, for instance.

@bravo25, I have some left, but I leave my high PT girls untested to add to my show string. I’ve had several produce 13+
-
True, but looking at generation levels, AFPT, and paper levels if available are usually much better indicators.
-
@Sharayah Id happily try those ladies out. I prefer tested and true, but if theyve proven ability to produce over 13pt id be interested. Send me a message with your ladies and prices please :)
@Lena Im breeding for higher PT show foals, and hopefully a few intact foals.
True, score doesnt always imply breeding potential, but my best pairs have come from outting like to like, quality to quality, and avoiding bootstrapped horses.Post edited by bravo25 at 2019-05-09 23:31:43 -
