Wanted: Uneven Pedigree Mares ( Yes you read that right)
-
I am looking for uneven bred mares...and I am talking way uneven! Not necessarily 2g bred to Foundation. I am looking more for foundation accidentally, or intentionally bred, lined bred stuff...at least 4th gen or higher. I would love to have a few that are out of foundy mares and by a star stallion or Gold mare by a Foundy stallion. The more uneven the better. In light of all the "Uneven is Worthless" discussions in the past few weeks, I am doing an experiment. I have a few of my own already and the experiment is going quite well, so I want to add more to it. All I ask is that they have all been run through all free testing including SMT. Show me what ya got!Post edited by SD Stables at 2015-07-28 13:40:31Thanked by 1Abbey98

Here is one of my mares: http://www.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=2778519
Her mother is a foundation Mare and was bred to a fully lined Star stallion...giving her and "uneven" pedigree -

I could be wrong, but I thought people used to breed this way. To "Bring the mare up to speed".
If you want a star Stally to breed to foundys I would be willing to sell you one of mine. -
Would you be interested in this Blue mare? She's even 4th gen on the sires side and uneven-long pedigree on the dam's.

They are no different then any other horse but have less intrinsic value because the pedigrees are not as nice to look at. They also are more likley to be gelded spayed then foals from even ability breedings. If you post what you are trying to show with your experiment I am more then happy to help you out with numbers.Need to contact me? Read this first.

Sorry guys...Life got super busy and this got put to the side.
@SandyCreek Acres I would be interested in her to add to the experiment. How much?
@Ammit I know most will get snipped, and I am ok with that. They make great show horses, but the few that pass are the ones I am wanting to follow, just to see. I definitely would be interested in horses that foundation crossed with at least 3rd gen or higher, or 2nd gen crossed with fully lined star/gold. I am then going to try and cross them back to an even pedigreed horse. Like my mare listed above in my previous post....I have crossed her back with 2g quality studs. I have only 1 intact foal from her, but now I want to follow what he produces. Does that make sense? -
Not sure what you are trying to show with your experiment. A horse with a foundation parent and a fully pedigreed parent isn't going to be any different. :) Or are you just playing around with them for fun?Post edited by Ammit at 2015-08-11 10:01:22Need to contact me? Read this first.

Oh I am just playing around for fun. I just want to see what I can create and see what comes of it. I am not trying to boost any lines or make a mare paper better. I am just interested to see how the offspring show and produce out of uneven pedigrees. I guess the experiment would be to prove to people that uneven pedigree horses do just fine against even pedigreed horses. These will most likely all stay in house or be yummed.
If I had more time and were more statistically inclined, I am certain I could come up with some sort of cool experiment for PT's or how fast I could reach Blue or Gold with uneven horses, but I just don't have the time to keep track of all that. -
No need to prove anything. I can tell you right now an uneven lined horse is half where between the ability of its parents. It doesn't effect showing or inheritance at all. You can take a foundation mare breed it to an lb stud and keep breeding each successive generation back to LB horses and get gold/star really fast. The game doesn't even know if a breeding is uneven or not.Need to contact me? Read this first.

I just bred some for-profit babies that are out of foundy mares by a 3g stud. Would you like either of these fillies? They will be in tomorrow's auction if you don't see this by the time it starts tomorrow. :)
