What if we combined hunters and jumpers. There really is no point in having the two styles it doesn't effect anything. No one even looks at it. It would not be all hunters or all jumpers it would just be unspecified. Shows would just use the better stat.

Pro:
It doesn't effect anything now so what does it mater?
It confuses and trips up new members.
It makes shows take longer to run.
It opens up some future game play additions for me by simplifying things.
It actually would be easier to do then clarifying the current system.

Cons:
Some people like having different styles or have a strong style pref.

What are so pros and cons you guys can think of.

nope. No reason to change the name. Your horses would be showing hunters or jumpers what ever fits your fancy.

I personally don't mind. When I first started I wanted nothing but jumpers, but since it really doesn't matter, I stopped paying attention ages ago.

Especially with the options it adds for you-it's an unnecessary distinction at this point, IMO.

I will tack horses acording to discipline. It's been a while since I did that though.

When I was new I tried breeding Hunters only to Hunters and Jumpers only to Jumpers. = )

Sounds great and would prevent training discipline accidents for those of us without auto-trainer. :) Will there be 2x as many classes available then? I prefer to not enter more than one horse in a given class, so sometimes I have to wait for new ones to pop up if I have a number of horses in the same level and discipline.

This would be great since there really isn't a tactical difference between hunters and jumpers when it comes to game play. But like Empire Acres, I am concerned about entering horses in the same shows. I did think the difference was handy for that, but adding more classes would fix it too.

The system auto creates shows. It makes as many as it needs. We have users with 10,000 horses that don't have issues so this would not be an issue.

I would have no issue with this, as I pay no attention to the discipline of a horse.

I honestly can't remember the last time I paid attention... They're all just hunter/jumpers to me, so I don't mind.

I also haven't paid attention in years. Aside from adding tack on the rare occasion I do.
