Objectives
-
Are there any objectives/missions in this game?
-
Just to have fun, and whatever objectives you create for yourself. You probably want to better your horses lineage as you breed your generations, as that is a good goal to have, since bad breeding is not a way to make any money on foals if you want to sell any later.
Everyone has their own ideas on what is best for their stock, and how they want to play the game. Some try to get on the Leader Board list, some just like breeding for colors (but still better if while breeding for colors to breed for quality), some breed just for quality, and could care less what color they get. There are so many different ways to play this game, which is why it is so fun.Was Rebecca Iavelli on the old forum

Think! - It's not illegal yet. -
How do you get from Level 1 to Level 2 then? I am still a new player, so I'm not very experienced.
-
You can purchase any game level you would like to advance to at any time. The cost rises as the level rises. Levels 1 through 4 are available for six month or yearly periods, and Level 4 comes with a 3 month option as well. Each level adds additional cool features to your game play. Level 5 is available for a monthly premium that is paid through PayPal.
You can find out the details by selecting Upgrades near the bottom of the menu bar at the left of your stable pages.
You will also see on your stable page a line that reads something like:
"You own a Prestige Grade 20 Stable with a bonus of 10 stalls." There is a bar under it that shows how far you are in the Prestige Grade you've reached. You advance through these by creating and breeding horses, losing credit when you yum or auction horses. You gain an additional stall every second level. -
There are no Objective/Missions that you get rewarded for as such. Most people try and breed the best horses they can (with even pedigrees) in the colours they prefer. You are more likely to be able to sell horses doing that too, but of course you can breed whatever you like! The LB/Breeder Clubs is probably the only thing that could be called an objective I guess, you can try and breed the best horse in a partictular colour or era group. Even new players have a good chance at getting the highest era LB as everyone starts at the same level in each new era. At the moment the newest era is Era3, so if you create or buy era3 foundations then it's a good starting point.

Ok! That helps a lot. Is there anything else you think a new player needs to know?

You should be able to read the sticky notes and the guides found in the old New Member Forum, still, even without logging in.

Some of the information is outdated now, and I doubt you'll be able to follow links to other parts of the old forum complex, but you should get some good ideas there. If you have any specific questions after poking around there, just ask them, in a new thread for each, and we'll do our best to answer.Thanked by 1Redbud -
1. To make myself happy and have fun.
2. To improve quality with each generation.
3. To breed horses that fit my aesthetic ideals for their lines, in color and pedigree feng shui.
4. To not go broke (insert long boring dissertation on show horse and resource management here).
This simple plan has been working really well for me. Leaderboards are nice and several of my ponies are on them, but I don't actively chase them. I don't breed to sell. I breed to for myself, and to please myself, and that's it. ^_^
Who honors those we love for the very life we live? Who sends monsters to kill us and at the same time sings that we will never die? Who teaches us what's real and how to laugh at lies? Who decides why we live and what we'll die to defend? Who chains us and who holds the key that can set us free? It's You! You have all the weapons you need, now fight!
