Grullo
-
What exactly makes a horse a grullo? I've bred quite a few this season and really enjoy the color but I don't think I really understand it very well.
Thank you!Post edited by kgstable at 2019-06-05 22:28:13 -
Black with at least one Dun (D) gene :)

I breed Grullos. You need E? aa D?Breeding even generation Grullos with KP, Axiom RBG & Wrong Warp, Chinnchilla, Onyx, Phantom Autumn, Bats, Ghosts, Pumpkins, Skulls & Spiders, Plaid, Watercolour genes

@bravo25 @Bandit1119 Thank you guys so much!

You mean you have a Grullo if the horse is actually black with a copie of the Dun gene? How would that look? Something like Aa Dd?Celestial Angels, The Balinor Breed! We Specialize In Riding Horses & Ponies!

@HorseAngel
Very close but the bay/agouti genes have to be both recessive to get a grullo or the horse will just be Bay/Brown Dun.
Like Bandit said above, it would need to have at least one E, aa, and at least one D.
These combos would all be Grullo, hope it helps :D
EE aa DD
Ee aa Dnd2
eE aa nd2DID: 247225

(You could also replace any of those nd2 genes with nd1 and get a grullo.)
