@Ebilcollie Thank you :D I am with you 100% there, dapples are my main breeding goal! Hexam is probably the most striking example I've bred so far though, he truly is a stunner!

Sometimes with the DP babies when they don't come out dappled I can't resist rerolling them a few times until I get some lovely spots :)) no self-restraint. Your kiddos are cuties as well! Love all of those apps!

I was disappointed in my nacre foals. Ones with color werent passing SBA and the ones passing missed all the important genes....then I got this guy.

@BlissEquine being a Buckskin with Sooty + gives that cool underbelly that goes all the way up to her face. And I think it looks like she is Hom DP? Definitely Het but again I'm not sure about Hom.

@BlissEquine, wolvevenfrost is right, she looks at least het DP to me (I don't know what hom looks like with S+) but I wanted to add that generally het brown (Ata) buckskins are much darker than any other color of buckskin, so that also contributes to her color :D

As the season is drawing to a close, my Foal of the Season award goes to... Bayamo!

KP2 Bayamo
He's exactly what I want for my KP line (KitM, lots of white spotting), and he tested good. He's an A papered gen 2, he's superior to sire, consistent and PT of 10.80. And to top it all off, he's brindle! He shot straight to the top of the list of my gen 2 colts. And I still have eggs and straws from this cross, so I'll definitely be looking for more like him! Thanks to TreeFern for the straws from his sire!

Other top foals of the season:

NA2 A Bit of the Sea
I've been wanting A Bit of Everything babies since I first saw him, and once I got my nacre licence bluchrystals gifted me some straws! I'm excited to breed from this guy when he gets old enough!

MU2 Oakwood Mushroom
Another A papered Gen 2, this one het mushroom. (His name is a reference to Death Cap mushrooms, which tend to grow under oak trees. I'm a nerd)

SNF2 Atlas
Yet another Gen 2 A, champagne, het snowflake and satin!

And a couple of his half brothers, also A papered, het snow and satin, but no champagne and with Splash M!
