I don't mean to hijack your post. But I was wondering if you'd be able to me understand. What is KP/DP and is that why your horses are for sale for 6 digits?
I don't mean to hijack, was curious. :) Thank you! -
Hi! Sorry it took me so long to get back to you.
KP is short for Kit Promoter. This is a very expensive gene (10 GMTs per copy in the GMT lab). FMI http://www.huntandjump.com/geneticsguide/?page_id=117
DP is short for Dense Pheomelanin, which causes liver and black chestnuts. http://www.huntandjump.com/geneticsguide/?page_id=135
This horse has one copy of DP (liver chestnut while Hz sooty) and also is Hz for KP. http://www.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=3066264
