Hi everyone, I stumbled across this Facebook page a couple of years ago and told myself I wanted to try it out. Well I kept forgetting until I finally remembered and made an account. lol. Still trying to get a feel for the website and mechanics before I make a horse.

EDIT: Thought I'd share some things about me!
I'm 27 years old, currently a licensed vet tech. I work in small animal right now but my ultimate goal is to be an equine tech, specializing in reproduction (which is why I got interested in this game!)
I have been riding for ~10 years, mostly barrel racing but a little bit of English in my younger years. But my love for horses extends to early childhood.
I've owned three horses, currently have a 9 year old QH (and possibly Morgan cross) mare named Sage, who is a brat at times but is extremely smart and loves barrels, so it's a win-win for me (and I may breed her a little later on too).
I'm also working on my equine sports massage therapy certification :)
When I'm not working or riding, I play a lot of video games. Any other gamers in here?
I also have a Leopard Gecko named Domino!

Always looking for new friends :D

Hi there! Just joined today! Can't wait to get the hang of it, it seems great! I'm 27 and have 3 dogs, 3 cats, and am currently having a barn built to have horses again. I grew up with a little paint gelding named Banshee who I picked up at auction for $27! Currently am riding my MIL's horses when I have time to make the drive. My dogs are Whiskey, she is a Formosan Mountain Dog (from Taiwan), Stetson is a 17 year old blind and deaf Aussie, and my husband has a Boykin Spaniel named max. If anyone has any tips to the game I would love to hear them!

Hello! I joined earlier this month and am focusing on building up some show horses so I have enough HBs to do some fun breeding soon. I can't decide which colors/patterns I most want to breed for though!

In RL I am 25, I am a theatrical performer, and I only have 1 pet: a chameleon named Argus :)

Hello, I joined primarily for my love of genetics plus I liked the fact this isn't a pet/groom your horse type of game. I heard this had a realistic color genetics programming and I thought I'd check it out.

Welcome ztcreek!! We do have real colors and realistic genetic transmission of those colors! We also have fun fantasy colors to play with, but you definitely don't have to get into that if you don't want to. Plus the admins are always looking out for changes in the real colors and patterns to add. We just had updates to dun (nd1 and nd2), and got 'tiger eye' as well.

Hello! I'm Aphria! Testinf out the game and so far so good. It's very different from past games I've played. I love that steps have been taken in order to allow newer players a chance to enjoy the game the same as older players.

A little about myself now. I'm 26, married and have a child. A child that rarely lets me do things for myself haha! I'm excited to find a game that fits a busy lifestyle. I enjoy gardening, crochet, and knitting.

Howdy, i'm Michael. I'm 23, recently engaged to my partner who's also playing this game now, I don't understand horses at all, but I'm absolutely mystified by them. I personally have a hairless rat named Nico~

Hi insidiously, welcome to the game! It's not ALL abut the horses. Think of it like rattie colors! And the markings, too. No dumbo ears, though! (I used to have ratties. Never had a hairless one, though. A friend of mine bred them and even showed once! She liked how fast the gestation period was, so you could see the genetic transmissions pretty quickly instead of having to wait years, like you do with horses. This game does that same kind of thing!)

@SararB an even bred horse is a horse that has the same number of ancestors on both sides, like a foundation horse or the offspring of two foundation horses.

Hello everybody, hmm these things are kinda awkward to start. Introverted horse lover since I was 8 and former shower. I have zero pets meaning zero horses...stupid apartment pet policies. Horses cant be kept in spare rooms aparently. Anyways Yeah so there it is.

Hi WickedRunStables! Showing is going to be your biggest money maker. Showing earns more points which results in a higher daily showing bonus. While you have less than 20,000 points held, you can create "pointed" horses. Those points they come with can be a nice boost to your daily showing bonus.

How do we make money on here? Just by selling babies?

Nope...you have to build up a show herd. Usually that's spayed mares and geldings, since altered horses get a training bonus.

In addition to what ztcreek said in the post up above yours:

If you look at my stable on the Forest server (where I actually play), I have 4,794 horses total (including about 150 foals). Of those, 4,203 are spayed/gelded show horses. I earn 380,598 HBs every night from my showing bonus. (you could look at any large barn on this server, as well)
