I breed strictly browns and I know I can't be the only one obsessed with em :))

My favorites are actually Homozygous brown bays. They're not quite dark enough to be sooty, but they're darker than ND1. They honestly look like very faded onyx *to me at least lol*

She's a good example of that "faded onyx". She's only het Ssty but she looks sooo much darker.

And there's this guy who doesn't have any Sooty, but it definitely looks like it!

And then we have this dark and decadent lady :) She's like a black with pangere *if pangere showed up on blacks :)) *

I'm only just getting started, but browns are so special! I'd love to see what you all have! :x

Yay! Awesome thread, I'm so happy to see brown getting some notice, it's one of my favorite genes in the game =D> I'm trying to collect as many shades of (sooty) brown as I can!

I once accidentally bred a brown roan and was surprised at how much I loved it. I don't have any good examples at the moment, I keep meaning to get roan back into my brown line, but a found a couple others in the search. I just love how the red kinda glows through the roaning:

Ozarks is one of my Cherry Drop lineage boys! It was hard to get rid of him but in the end Peachtree was, hands down, the best person who I could have given him to! I loved seeing his babies this season! He's still one of my favorites :x

@Bambi He constantly amazes me with the number of quality foals he produces, lots of blue fillies and great additions to the codex :x and such a beauty too! So grateful to have him, especially as a fan of your cherry drop project :D
