Mystic Warrior is a 3/4 Fresian x 1/4 appy cross. He made the round on social media as a baby because of his striking color as a foal He's pictured here with his dam:

however as he aged he seem to loose his spots and not appears almost white. You can see his skin pigment under the hair .

what causes this and how does it pertain to to the game?

I would guess maybe varnish.

He is a gray appaloosa.

So the grey only affects the hair coat and not the skin pigment? Is there something in the genetic that causes the spots to spread out and shrink over time?
