The breeding part of this game looked like a lot of fun so I thought I would give it a try. The hardest part with these types of games is not getting attached to my fake horses lol.

Oh yeah, wait til the end of the month. Horses start 'aging out' of the game once they turn 18 years old. Some may live several more years, but after age 17 there is a chance, at the end of every game year (real life month) that your horses will die. It gets pretty emotional at the monthly rollover!

Hello!
How long have you liked horses? -- Always! I've never owned one of my own, but that is still a goal of mine someday.
Why did you join HAJ? -- I've always been interested in genetics, so that aspect of the game draws me. This game also takes me back to my college days in the early oughts when I used to play an online horse game called Ludus Equinus.
What kind of pets do you own? -- A spoiled cat named Phoebe and a goldfish named "Bloop Bloop" (named by my 2yo son) that I bought for 14 cents and rescued from being some larger fish's dinner. :)
What is something you are confused about with the game? -- I only started today, so I don't know a lot about the game yet. I don't understand how showing works (I know how to enter a show, but I don't know what is being judged, how to do well in a show, etc). I also don't know how to earn more money.
Is there an article for new users that outlines the basics of the game?

Dunappy, the forum search isn't the best. There is a search box in the top right corner of the page.
If you go to the left menu bar, under vital links, there is a user guide that is indexed with links.
If you still can't find what you're looking for you are welcome to post questions on the forum itself, or stop by the New Players Lounge chatroom (you can find it on the left menu bar, too, under Community, then Buddy Chats)

Ptaysanwee, while you are working on recreating your boy here you will not only have fun but people have a tendency to accidentally learn a lot of really cool genetics stuff!
