I'm struggling to stay awake at 7pm, so lets talk tack!

Do you have a certain way you tack up your horses?
By project, by generation, by sire, etc...?

Thought this would be a fun way for everyone to show off their ponies and maybe give others ideas..
Please feel free to go overboard with your pony posts! :D

I have a small (30 stall) barn just for my tack template horses. ^_^

I tack according to lines, and some subgroups within lines. For example, in my black Arabian line I have 4 sets of mare tack - Regular, Brindle, Gold, and Lethal.

It just occurred to me last night that I can use any color I want, not just whats on the suggested colors! :-O That of course resulted in me being up WAY too late last night customizing colors, specially the ones with the Turquoise background! But Now they can all wear matchy turquoise!

My go-to tack is of course... drumroll please... Pewter Backdrop x Long and Luscious Offside Main x Long and Luscious Full Tail x Clear Hoof Polish x KD So Shiny Spray :)) 90% of my horses are tacked up this way, sometimes with Pinwheel braided tail instead of L&L

For my Rank Specials and special show ponies I like to also add the stable halter, sheepskin halter cover, and festival roses for a little extra something :)

Well I mostly have just the basic tack and stuff still So there not much to look at but I did manage to get a few tack packs this month! Two halloween, a fall and a priate one last month because they were only 1 IV, still needed a little help to get the Bunting pack(thank you SandyCreekAcres!) I would Love to get the Long and Luscious pack! Sadly I don't have the IVs for it yet. I do have some sorta system though! I don't really tack up my Rank Specials much, backgrounds mostly and I am waiting to get more for them but All of my pearls are Priates and have names related to the sea in someway! Here are a few!

I am still looking to get some more good backgrounds for all my other RS! I do have one or two lines but like I said, mostly basic stuff! All my livers so far have the dark backdrop too! I mostly use tack to differntiate between Foundations vs 2 Gens and body types Horse vs pony but theres not much different from each other,lol! My Horses get a Simple All Purpose Saddle, Schooling Bridle With Dee Ring Bit, Quilted Saddle Pad, Padded Leather Girth, Clear Hoof Polish, Normal tail & mane, and a Bright Blue Backdrop! Mares get the Roses on tail and mane, Stallions do not! Ponies get all that and a Square Plaid Saddle Blanket and Splint Boots too! My 2 Gens just get a Carefree Mohawk, Pinwheel Braided Tail, Clear Hoof Polish, and a Countryside Spring Backdrop!

All my show horses fallow this too execpt for a few things! They don't get saddles or bridles and get Quarter Marks, it is differnet for differnet body types! Horses-Heart Quarter Mark, Riding Pony-Star Quarter Mark, Sport/Warmbloods-Bolt Quarter Mark, Heavy/Cob-Snowflake Quarter Mark! And they all get a Plain Stable Halter, Sheepskin Halter Cover, Clear Hoof Polish, Square Plaid Saddle Blanket, and a Basic Blue Backdrop! Though I have so many to tack up right now that not all of them even have anything on them but a background! They kinda got away from me, lol!

Be sure to try out the link on the tack tab that leads outside of H&J. That can really help you pick out colors that work well together!

I do. The long mane is there because I want to breed lusitanos in the game.

The background is what it is because when I started to tack up my horses, I wanted something that looked good on all colours, and showed the horse instead of attracting attention. I am thinking about changing it to something else now that we have so many more to choose between, but I have not yet decided. I am open to suggestions :)
