That means you cannot name the horse "For Susie Q Only", and you can't say that any foals must be tested and meet certain requirements.

This is why buddy chat rooms were created. If you do not have access to a chat room you can almost always find someone who will let you use theirs. Otherwise you just have to make arrangements to be online at the same time as the buyer and only put the horse up for sale when the buyer is ready to grab it quickly (usually by refreshing the page until the Buy This Horse button appears on the horses page).

This is why I never put my horses up for public stud/brood. Lesson learned lol.

If it bothers a person on how people will breed to their stallions, that's the easiest solution - don't put up for public stud.

I had a stud standing last year very cheap as part of the pay it forward thread. I asked people to only breed once (to give everybody a chance). This year he is standing in my chat room for only 1hb or via straw.

Putting them up in a chat room is a much better plan, and why we have chat rooms. :)

I had a player chew me out when I did not follow their directions and bred to one of their studs. After some discussions, we worked it out. (I quoted some of the rules and regulations for public breeding), they no longer list their studs publicly. Play nice in the sandbox everyone! ( or take your toys and go home);)

I am very happy that there is chat rooms available for breeding! I used to put mine up for public breeding, but now I solely rely on the chat rooms, especially for project horses I have spent a pretty penny on. :D

Sorry you went through that, Double! If I list something publicly, I understand the risks and although I wish everyone bred evenly, it’s not the case. The only time I’ve gotten upset with a player is if they bought something privately with the promise of keeping in-house or selling back to me... and they didn’t.

But at the end of the day, they’re pixel ponies. I only list my studs in chat rooms or through straw sales (especially if I’ve spent a lot of RL $ on them), but I do like to share as well and there’s always that risk. There’s really nothing we can enforce other than no longer doing business with a certain player. Thankfully this community is pretty awesome and everyone seems happy to respect each other’s wishes! :x
