Breeding Goals [Contest]
-
So this is a contest we have not done yet. So here it is.
This will end Monday 10/21 at rollover. The wonder will be picked through a random number generator based on how many comments there are. I will message each winner individually.
RULES
1) You must pick one horse (and only one to be fair)
2) State your long term goal with said horse
3) State your breeding goals with said horse (ie. which mares you are going to breed to in order to get a certain height, color, bone, PT score.)
4) How do you intend to reach these goals?
5) How will you obtain the mares? Buy them? Create them? Buy them from auction?
6) What colors will you start with? Do you already have the mare or stallion then why that one?
7) What would you like to do with the genes/alleles if you were to win?
Now onto the prizes ( prize 1-3 is supplied by the wonderful ConfluenceStable)
1st) 2 full genes ( homozygous for 2 genes)
2nd) 1 full gene ( homozygous for one gene)
3rd) 1 allele ( heterozygous for one gene)
4th) 5 straws from any of my stallions (excluding closed genes. ie. mushroom, watercolor, onyx.)
EXAMPLE
GF5 Love My Life
My breeding goals with this filly is to create homozygous appaloosa splashes with het pearl. Her sire is 23rd on the era 4 leaderboards which was my goal with him. Her sire is the only *star colt out of two night eclipse and is homozygous pearl and has Splash 2. I started with a homozygous pearl stud to get to this point. Her sire has an AFPT Of 12.00 Her half brother Spot the stuff has even reached an AFPT of 12.25 and her brothers son Stuffed ice has a AFPT Of 12.31 with his first season at stud. My goal was to get AFPT to go up with each generation and I have reached that.Post edited by GildedFire at 2019-10-20 07:56:07Licensed for Mushroom,Onyx, Watercolor, Ice 13, ice 16, Phantom lace, Phantom Diamond sparkle. -
Ooh, fun :x Thank you!
RS FF Hektor
1. This is my Freaky Friday Hektor (still a work in progress)
2. Long term goal: I would like to add nd1 so that I can breed tall, hom DP, dun & nd1 foals from him.
3. Breeding goals: I will be pairing him with DP mares of all kinds. I think nd1 and dun go well with almost every base, but I am particularly interested in matching him with silvers, leopards, and flaxen livers.
4. Strategy: In order to achieve these goals I'll be saving a lot more hbs and separating out which mares from my current herd to use.
5. Mares: I will be buying them from auction & hoping to get lucky with creates :D
6. Starting colors: My only starting color requirements will be DP with sooty. I already have quite a lot of mares, but I'm always keeping an eye out for more.
7. GMT Plans: I might have to fancy up a mare for him by adding DP and nd1!ID: 247225

$CRVSF Find Me ExPA
My breeding goal with this horse, is one to change from Mare to Stallion. He will then be the new foundation stallion to my new satin/snowflake line. I had one previous one that I was able to clone so I had a fairly set breeding 2nd gen mares, but after the mare comparison went into play I got a little over excited with the spay button, and took a fair amount of them out. So now I am trying to rebuild the herd. As with my first one, snowflake was not introduced yet to the game, so I set out to bred Satin snowflaked appies, of black or blue roan colouring, riding horse body.
My appies are only Lp patterned, no other patterns. I also do not put in any fantasy genes. You would think that this would be easy, but in fact its not really. I have created my foundation horses from expros ... I have bought the snowflake genes, or in the case of the RS Accomplishments of Like Mind people, collected a few. very special ones. I don't expect any snowflaked appies until either the third or fourth gen. I only keep stud colts that are sup to sire and with mares AGA to dam if they are really special.
If I was to win, then I would be able to take a chance on a different project that follows the same line as this, only I would be taking a Yellow mare and transforming her to a Stallion and adding satin to him. He would be the foundation to a new Chocolate/Liver line, something I haven't really played with. I have tried to always use Expro foundations and I have never boosted a foundation horse, so it would be a bit of a challenge to get the foals to first pass Doris and then get the AFPT up. with a C stud and red mares. -
BBZ OnceInALifetime
I’m using this guy to further my snowflake, KP, KitM, and liver lines. I’m wanting to breeding my lines to completely be filled with only my lines as well, and this foundation stallion is a great start for this. I want to eventually get high star and high PT in my snowflake, KP, KitM, and liver lines. It’d be a dream to have one with all three, even better if it was a HOM DP Liver Snowflake with KP and KitM.
I have created a few mares to go with him but would like to create a few more. So I would like to add DP to some mares, maybe hold out some to add KP, Snowflake. Maybe Onyx and Watercolor, since I really like those as well. Just to randomly mix those in as well. I have a liver onyx line as well.
For now since I’m limited with my choices of genes, I think I’d want homozygous watercolor on a stallion for my new watercolor project, and one gene of DP on him and then one gene of DP on a mare for my stallion above and my liver onyx stallion.Licensed for Onyx, Watercolor, Plaid, Mushroom, Splash M, Phantom Autumn, Ice 4, Ice 16, and Chinchilla - ID: 256300 -
1) Horse: ***I changed mine!
GMT 1G Pierrot DZNo
2) State your long term goal with said horse
- My long term goals with this guy is to use him to help start my new B/Red Foundation Chinchilla line. I am totally starting over foundation stud-wise and selling all my GMT's foundations that are C papered. This guy is going to be the building block to my new high quality line of Chinchilla/Onyx horses
3) State your breeding goals with said horse (ie. which mares you are going to breed to in order to get a certain height, color, bone, PT score.)
- My breeding goals for this stud is to breed high quality Chinchilla/Onyx horses. I want to keep a tight grasp on quality and start seeing *Star/*Gold papers in 4th gen.
4) How do you intend to reach these goals?
- I intend to reach these goals by utilizing all the testing i have access to to create a strict culling regimen. I will breed him only to Ex Pro/Perf mares (Red papered) to ensure a matched quality. All foals will be strict tested before even opening the image. From there they will be Genetic Tested, Performance Inspected, and Papered. Foals will follow a strict papering requirement and eventually a strict AFPT requirement. Foals must test superior to sire/dam. By 3rd gen, horses MUST be homozygous for Chinchilla at least, with Onyx being mixed in however.
5) How will you obtain the mares? Buy them? Create them? Buy them from auction?
- I will primarily be creating the mares but if ones come up for sale/auction for a reasonable price that is exactly what i need, i will buy/bid.
6) What colors will you start with? Do you already have the mare or stallion then why that one?
- My starting color for my stud is Buckskin Chinchilla Onyx Appaloosa Brindle. He is Brown based vs Bay based. Mares he will be bred to must be Black based and/or Bay/Brown based (E? or EE; A or At, het or hom) and must be homozygous sooty. Champagne will also be a big part of this project/goal through some of the mares as well as my two other studs.
7) What would you like to do with the genes/alleles if you were to win?
- If i won 1st place, i would add 2 copies of Satin to the stud in this post and i would add two more copies of Satin to This Stud since i would love to introduce Satin to my Mushroom line as well. Troubadour is going to be my main Mushroom stud like Pierrot will be for my Chinchilla line
- If i won second place, i would add 2 copies of Satin to the stud in this post
- If i won third place, i would get one copy of Satin on the stud in this post
(Sorry for my expensive tastes. I have actually kinda given up the hopes of getting satin but thought it was worth a shot with this competition! Thanks for the opportunity!)Post edited by HayesStable at 2019-10-18 22:51:33Bluegrass Server: HayesStable - 221755

Flutter Bleu Belle
This is my pretty little petite Mini Blue Blue Roan mare. She's a part of my Mini Blue project. With her I'm trying to achieve a line of tiny ponies that are mostly Blue Roan, Silver Blue Roan, Silver Black and I may include Silver Grullo. I'd like this line to have the smallest of Ponies and hope to use mostly homebred lines. However I'm having a tricky time getting nice stallions. I've gotten several pretty little mares though. This mare's mom was one of the first horses I bought when I joined, so this line is very special. I think it will take a while to grow due to the difficulty in finding stallions and straws that match my goals. Plus this little mare has W2 so the best matches are hard to find.
I mostly have used foundation ponies and bred them together but I have bought a few prospects from other people and have gotten a few from the auction. I'd love to eventually have a lot of different Blue Roan patterns in my ponies like Kit M, W3, Nexus (open gene) and maybe Snowflake. I'm not able to buy any closed fantasy genes.
If I were to have a chance to GMT I'd probably use a little Blue Roan stallion to try W3 or Kit M. Maybe Nexus. Or even just adding Silver to a Blue Roan. I've never used GMTs so it would be interesting and definately fun.
I do also have a Riding Horse and WarmBlood breeding program with similar ideas.
Thank you for offering this. :)Post edited by Flutterbelle at 2019-10-17 20:42:43 -
My stud
LVR1B Ghost Of A Chance
2) State your long term goal with said horse
My long term goal is to breed foals that have the combination of genes needed to look as Ghost does, liver chestnut mushroom pearl. I intend to add satin as well for which I have another stud not shown.
3) State your breeding goals with said horse (ie. which mares you are going to breed to in order to get a certain height, color, bone, PT score.)
Short term goal is to breed to DP mares to get as many high quality second gens as possible. They will then be culled for height with anything under 16h going to auction.
4) How do you intend to reach these goals?
Creating/Buying DP mares while fully testing the foals
5) How will you obtain the mares? Buy them? Create them? Buy them from auction?
Currently I have been buying or creating them. With the DP sale going on I have also adjusted quite a few mares. :D
6) What colors will you start with? Do you already have the mare or stallion then why that one?
He has a Baroque base, which already has Hom pearl. I've added Hom Mushroom and one copy of DP.
7) What would you like to do with the genes/alleles if you were to win?
Possibly a Hom DP Hom pearl chestnut ExPro mare. -
This is Whim, my favorite girl and one of my first foals bred when I started playing coming up on a year ago.
Perfect Whim
I’d like Whim to have as large and high quality/prosperous a family as possible. I’m breeding her for primarily similar color to her liver chestnut splash, but would love it if some of her grandfoals could be satin, so trying to cross that in where I can. Everything gets tested, and those who pass will be bred into the future, others I’ll keep and they’ll have show careers. Some of her first boys are up for stud now. Since I’m collecting as many eggs as possible from her for each of her remaining years, I look for studs of comparable breeding ability available for breeding publicly, in chat rooms, and just pretty studs that I can PM to ask owners if they’re willing to sell straws. Strangely enough, Whim has nothing to do with my main line since it’s even bred and I bred her before I even knew what that meant, so I’d like to get dun and splash if I win to fit my main line (the splash part of which was inspired by Whim!).Post edited by LenasHollywood at 2019-10-18 05:55:03 -
x Mischief Managed
2) Long term goal is to get a line full of colourful horses with high quality in breeding and showing
3) I am breeding him to mares of similar quality with a huge variation of genetics for diversity. Some have KitM, some have SplashM, some have Mushroom or Snowflake etc.
4) By keeping and breeding his best foals
5) Everything. I buy them, create them from Rank Specials etc
6) I start with all kinds of colours, as I get easily bored with uniform looking horses. I like how he throws all kind of colours, and love to explore his foals and see how they look.
7) I would love to create a mare with KitM and Satin for him, for my dream foal -
Presenting………… UW Prometheus Apple! He is my first horse that I ever used a GMT Token on!
UW Prometheus Apple
2) State your long term goal with said horse.
Eventually I am hoping to have all of my horses
(except for maybe show horses) trace back to him at least once!
3) State your breeding goals with said horse (ie. which mares you are going to breed to in order to get a certain height, color, bone, PT score.)
I am wanting to breed Blue papered, Superior Testing, Consistent, Tall (minimum 17 hands), and Evenly Bred Warmblood mares! I also hope to someday get on the leaderboards with at least one of his descendants.
4) How do you intend to reach these goals?
I will only keep the foals that test superior and pass all of my requirements (the requirements of my mares) and geld/spay any that do not pass my requirements perfectly. I will also eventually choose only the best studs and mares to incorporate into the line!
5) How will you obtain the mares? Buy them? Create them? Buy them from auction?
To obtain these mares I am going to use the mares that I will breed from my other studs and I will carefully sort through the Mares I currently own and select only the mares that fit my previous description perfectly! I will also frequently browse the sale list and the auction horses to find the horses that I desire!
6) What colors will you start with? Do you already have the mare or stallion then why that one?
I am not specifically focused on color but am going to try my hardest to mainly use mares that have Kitm.
7) What would you like to do with the genes/alleles if you were to win?
I would use the genes/alleles to create a foundation mare that I can use to base another line off of that I can then incorporate into his line!
(I am not specifically motivated by color because even the least attractive horse can still have the best genetics and the best confirmation!) -
1) You must pick one horse (and only one to be fair)
2g sa At MB Silks
2) State your long term goal with said horse.
My long term goals with this boy is to use him as my sire for my breeding line of bay or brown, S+, Satin, KitM, and DP carries. He will also play a big roll in future show horses so PT and show quality is important in future offspring.
3) State your breeding goals with said horse (ie. which mares you are going to breed to in order to get a certain height, color, bone, PT score.)
I will breed him to 2g blue mares, with consistent PT. My longterm goal is to breed a line that is all hom S+, bay or brown, satin, KitM, sb1, and possibly kp.
4) How do you intend to reach these goals?
I will only keep daughters that paper superior to mothers; having the colors I’m after, and are warmblood, have consistent PT. Colts will have to have color, PT, papers, superior to sire and brothers. Ideally they would all horses used for breeding would be 16hh+, but I always forget when I’m culling to think about height so this is more of a loose standard.
5) How will you obtain the mares? Buy them? Create them? Buy them from auction? I will buy them wherever and whenever I can, and hopefully breed a few.
6) What colors will you start with? Do you already have the mare or stallion then why that one?
The mares have to be at least warmblood, bay, or liver. I prefer they have S+, but those are hard to get ahold of. I already have a few that work, they have all of the previous specified genes, as well as several bonus genes like DP, KitM, exc.
7) What would you like to do with the genes/alleles if you were to win? I would add S+, and maybe Satin, to a foundation stallion, so I would be able to breed 2g mare’s that match my mare requirements. -
1)
RX1 Discotheque
2) I want to use this guy as a starting point for my newest project. He fits well with my goals, and will likely be the primary founding stud. I hope for his offspring to continue to increase in quality, and perhaps even make it on the leaderboard.
3) My mission is to create a light breed similar to the Arabian or Akhal teke, but with a little more variety in the way of colors and patterns. Tiger eye, satin, and nd1 are my main focus, though I’m also including cream, pearl, and a couple of white markings (especially w20) for a little extra pizazz. I’m choosing expro mares to breed to him to achieve this, though I will occasionally throw in some yellow mares if they have the genes I’m looking for. PT, breeding quality, and consistency are key.
4) I will be culling offspring from him (and others) ruthlessly. If they do not test superior to their parents, then they will be gelded immediately. I only want to keep the highest quality breeding stock. As I get more goals from him, I will start to cull based on color, but for now papers and consistency are enough.
5) Most of my mares have been created from various expro herd helpers. Others were purchased from the market. Those were carefully selected; I usually only buy them if they have the genes I want, or if they have an exceptional pt.
6) I’m starting with the basic colors available in normal creates. Bay and chestnut are the most common now, though I hope to bring in seal brown. As for the white patterns, I have splash, rabicano, and frame, all available for creation through herd helpers. I do have a few mares that carry nd1 and tiger eye already. I hope to add satin to my lines soon.
7) If I were to win, I would ask to split the genes into single alleles among four foundation stallions. Each would receive one copy of satin, so that my lines will not become inbred as easily as if I used only one founding stallion. I want to have a wide gene pool in my breeding stock.Post edited by urkidnme at 2019-10-18 11:13:16 -
Ooh! This'll hello me focus/narrow down my new goals!
1) You must pick one horse (and only one to be fair)
BBZ2 DriftAndTwist
2) State your long term goal with said horse
I'd like to eventually have an even-bred satin liver line with TE and maybe KitM (but only medium WF or less), and he carries snowflake, so if that pops up down the line I won't be mad at all!
3) State your breeding goals with said horse (ie. which mares you are going to breed to in order to get a certain height, color, bone, PT score.)
I'm thinking to focus on color before quality, at least for a generation or two - as long as the mares pass basic breeding advice, I'm looking for livers (preferably hom DP) that have satin, TE, or KitM.
4) How do you intend to reach these goals?
By scrounging through other players' evenly-bred cast-offs, although I'm also working on a set of foundations to feed into the breeding program (doing it backwards!)
5) How will you obtain the mares? Buy them? Create them? Buy them from auction?
Auction is my friend. I can't generally afford the normal sale prices for what I'm after, so I'll be going through the auction with a fine-toothed comb (that's how I got him, lol). I'm not unwilling to take a chance on fillies that don't have their genetic test done, either - if it looks like their parents could have provided the right genes, I'll take a shot.
6) What colors will you start with? Do you already have the mare or stallion then why that one?
Collecting livers! I think the satin is going to be the hardest part, though...
7) What would you like to do with the genes/alleles if you were to win?
EDIT:I have a foundation stallion that's a "dark chestnut" create who popped up with TE2 - if I could make him hom DP and hom satin, if be totally thrilled...I lucked into more-suitable foundation from a Hom Sooty EP, so satin would be the priority, then add another copy of DP (I'm 99% sure he only has one) and a copy of TE1. :DPost edited by Vella at 2019-10-18 17:02:31ID 252818 | Breeding for TE livers, with satin hopefully -
1.) My pick is this boy:
2G Beyond The Veil
2.) My long term goal is to revive his sire's line. I had to take a hiatus from the game due to severe medical issues and family problems and missed playing this game every single day. When I was finally stable enough to return, 90% of my herd had passed on. Thankfully, I saved a few straws and eggs here and there. The sire was my very first satin foundation and I saved for a long time. He was a boosted Freaky Friday with Satin, W3, Tobiano, KP, S+, Appy, and Rabicano. This was before the RGS and when satin was 60 GMTs EACH. I even cloned him so the line would breed true because I loved the look so much.
3.) My breeding goals is to keep the line as true as possible while also keeping with my quality standards. Tall drafts, DP, S+, and satin will take priority for the mares I'll match with him as long as they paper superior to their dams.
4.) I used the remaining eggs from my cloned foundation mare to produce some top quality mares for him. Once they reach breeding age I'll toss them all in the pasture to ensure I get the best foals I can.
5.) I already have them thanks to another player who has similar breeding goals to me!
6.) Definitely will start with S+, satin, and DP. I have several perfect mares that have a majority of the same genes/bone sizes.
7.) I would love to add satin to my "Black Stallion" line. Those books were one of my first introductions to horses and I have always cherished it. I'm not 100% certain that's what I'd do with them but I think that will be my ultimate decision.I breed Drafts and star horses :D

1)
ST Tasty Snack
This guy is my Pretzel Twist GMT project!
2) Long term goal: This guy and my watercolor stud are going to be the future herdsires for a line of black-based expro draft appies with various fun genes (pearl, onyx, watercolor, KP, snowflake, and nexus)
3) Breeding goals: I'm breeding to primarily black draft expro appaloosas with a few other rank specials or expros in the mix. The bigger the better, but as long as they are drafts I'm not too concerned.
4) Methods: Mares are bred with a pasture bonus and all foals must pass BA. They also need to paper a certain level for each generation (e.g. 2g &3g - A/blue). Colts must be superior to sire and preferably consistent.
5) Mares: Mainly creating them, but I also regularly check the sales and will pick up a couple if there's any. I create as many as possible and buy them from others during blackout events.
6) Colors: Mares must be recessive bay (aa). The majority of the mares are black-based (Ee or EE), draft, and appaloosa. I have one mare with a copy of KP so I have the potential to get a hom foal in the 2nd gen.
7) Prize: Decisions are so hard! If I were to win, I think I'd add another copy of sabino to this guy (https://www.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=9012112). After that I'd either add copies of pearl or nd1 to these guys. Chinchilla and satin being on the RGS has been trying to tempt me to make a new project stud, but I can't really afford that after all the GMTing I've been doing to perfect these herdsires :))ID - 251100

All Who Wander FTF
I'm going to enter with my new boy I bred the other night! This is All Who Wander FTF, a 3G White Spotted (kitM) Liver Chestnut Riding Horse stallion by Aspen FTF out of Sojourner FTF.
Long term goal: My long term goal for this stud is to influence kitM in my Riding Horse lines. I have just a handful of kitM RHs right now and unfortunately a lot of the kitMs from this colt's sire got snipped. So, I was thrilled to get him to pass! Another long term goal with AWW will be to get DP into my RH lines. Right now I focus on DP in my warmblood lines, but it is always fun to have it crop up elsewhere, and right now I have a few scattered het DP RHs. He will be a fun addition and it will be neat to see where DPs show up later in the lineages :)
Breeding goals: AWW will be bred to 3G RH fillies in my herd (I only breed even). My intent will be to breed as many kitM RH foals as possible from this colt that pass SBA and test Superior to Sire/Dam. I won't focus too much on which color mare he breeds except I likely WON'T cross him with my Champagne RHs, which focus on other patterns besides kitM.
How will I reach these goals? I know it's crazy but I still pick my stallion/mare pairs by hand lol (versus adding stallion[s] to a pasture to randomly breed mares). So that being said, I will only cross him with 3G mares to keep my lines even. I will also not cross him with any mares lower than Red papered, as he is B papered. I will also focus on crossing him with Superior mares. All of this together should result in 4G foals that are of high quality, ideally Blue/A papered and Superior. In my 4G I am really tightening up on my papering and Superiority requirements, so choosing high quality mares and utilizing the pasture bonus will help this.
How I will get mares: Most of the mares will be homebred by FTF, but I am never opposed to acquiring new bloodstock or using straws/eggs to diversify my lineages. I do not like crossbreeding so adding outside lineages can help me diversify lines where I only have a few representative stock in my own herd, such as my current situation with kitM RHs. I'm always keeping an eye on the auction and forums to see what is available :)
What colors I'll start with: As stated, I won't worry as much about what colors I will breed to (except NOT champagne) as this line will focus more on pattern than color. Any of my quality 3G RH fillies are good candidates to consider.
What I would do with prizes: If I were to win, I would love to add kitM to a foundation or two so I can continue to diversify my kitM RH lineages. I have a kitM Catch a Blue Moon who would love a boyfriend :) If I had more genes to use I would enjoy getting some new foundation hom DP bloodstock for my WB project. And I can always make good use of straws so that would also be a welcome prize!
Thanks so much! @};- -

TF1B Flip
My pretzel twist GMT project
1. State your long term goal with said horse
I plan on using him as one of my primary herdsires. I’m want DP in basically all of my lines so he will be a great overall addition. He will be used to produce even bred horses with lots of chrome.
2. State your breeding goals with said horse (ie. which mares you are going to breed to in order to get a certain height, color, bone, PT score.)
He will be used to produce Flashy DP foals with Kit genes. Quality is also important and all must pass sba. I like Warmbloods and riding horses equally so hopefully I will get some of both.
4) How do you intend to reach these goals?
He will be bred to red papered mares that are homozygous sooty and have a lot gene or splash.
5) How will you obtain the mares? Buy them? Create them? Buy them from auction?
A mix of all of the above. I have most of them already.
6) What colors will you start with? Do you already have the mare or stallion then why that one?
I have several mates but I’m always looking for a few more. They need to be hom sooty or Dp. And have some sort of white gene, but not w1 or w2. Some appy mares will probably be used as well. I have several mares that fit this criteria.
7) What would you like to do with the genes/alleles if you were to win?
I will add another kit gene to Flip and maybe satin. If I win four alleles, I’ll add a kit gene to my dark chocolate mare. -
G2 Silver Snows
Long Term goals: create a line of homozygous Snowflake Tiger eye horses.
Breeding goals: Breed him to my Gen2 het Tiger and Snowflake mares For evenly lined homozygous horses.
I already have a start on mares. If I need mare, I'll selective buy if they are available. The foundations are supplying the Tiger eye 2nd gen. And some of my second Gen are already het for both genes. Breeding in 2nd gen to create Homozygous for both. Keeping the best foals with both genes for even lined homozygous SnowTiger Horses.
Almost all of my Snowflakes and Tiger eyes lines are half siblings and all are only Hetero for both gene. Since this guy is already Homozygous for Snowflake, adding homozygous for Tiger eyes would allow him to pass on the genes I'm looking for in this line of horses. -
@Dunappy9, he's also Het for DP.

Also @Dunappy9, you can only make him het for tiger eye, because his sire doesn't have it. You can give him the one he could have gotten from his dam though.Spiderweb Stables

This is my Freaky Friday boy. He's already had some work done to get the homozygous recessive flaxen and pangare I want in my livers, and I removed both frames and added an S+ and a 5% boost. The long term goal would be to add hom satin and tiger eye and make him as tall and light as possible, and probably add a white pattern like kit M, I haven't decided. Not appy, I don't want him to varnish out. Oh, I'd like him to be hom PATN1 though, so he could throw leopards. And then use him to found a line of tall golden eyed satin black liver and S+ liver riding horses.
I'll breed him to as many foundation livers as I can get my hands on, including my five Freaky Friday mares, and all the hom sooty, hom recessive flaxen and pangare chestnuts I can, especially those ExPer sooty ones. I already have several mares like that, and will be watching Herd Helpers and the auction and forum for the opportunity to get more. I'd like to weed out all the yellows that don't have DP as I can replace them with ExPros, so eventually I'll have red papered mares with the base genes and liver mares to breed him too. I'll also keep a lookout for mares with that sooty/flaxen/no pangare combo I want and tiger eye. I'd love to GMT a mare with all those same genes to pull eggs from, but alas, money, lol.
Then I'll keep the very best stud(s) and breed them to the mares in the second gen, watching out for frames. Ideal would obviously be hom DP, tiger eye, satin, ff, pp, no frame, and A papered lol, but we'll see what reality gives me. And so on from there.
If I were to win, I'd get as much of the modding I have planned for him done as I could!Post edited by Taliesin at 2019-10-20 13:58:26Spiderweb Stables

BB The Shortchange
2. My long term goal with Shortchange will be to start a successful line of pearl/DP based loud appaloosas. I absolutely cannot get enough of how the hom PATN1 pattern looks- so loud and I love it!
3. The absolutely ideal horses to breed him to would be red papered DP foundation mares that are at least HET for pearl.
Since that basically doesn’t exist in the game with out a few GMTs, i’m sticking to simply DP foundation mares of any bone structure. PT score doesn’t matter as much to me so that means lots of yellow papered livers, since thats whats most plentiful at the moment but I do have some baroque mares to breed him to (should bring out both DP and pearl but not the paper I want) and some pretzel twist mares (checks the DP and papers mark, but not the pearl). I don’t plan to breed him to any mares under 16hh for my personal lines, since I would like for the horses to remain on the taller side.
4. I will use the pasture boosts to help with my yellow mares and basically hope for the best hahaha. I do think it will work out in the end though!
5.I will do all three! Buy, Create, and Win in Auction!
6. I will start off with livers and chocolate palominos. I already have many mares that are foundation and those colors
7. I missed the KP sales for my boy, so I’ll have KP added to him. I also have Kit M and DP that I need to add to another GMT project hahaha. I’m already hooked!
