This horse is confusing. she looks liver but is not.

My seven year old quarter horse and I are beginning an adventure into mounted shooting. My trainer and I exposed her to her first live gunfire this past week after countless popping balloons and cap gun rounds. She did great! Only six shots, but the last two my trainer had her about 10 feet from me. We’re well on our way. Hopefully in a couple more weeks we’ll work our way up to me being able to shoot from on her back. If you’ve never seen it, you should check it out. There are tons of videos on YouTube, it’s pretty cool. The best part is the people are supportive of each other, and give each other tips, and share equipment, guns, even horses to help someone else find success. I know it’s tough losing a companion. Sending you happy thoughts! And because I can never resist, here’s my favorite in-game horse :D

My condolences again, Sharayah. She was so lovely.

My own German Shepherd is certified as a therapy dog but hadn't had his first clinic visit yet. He finally was able to join the ranks a few weeks ago with a visit to a local hospital. He did so well! I am so proud of him and all our training. Next up is learning scent detection and maybe some agility if we can swing it. It's so fun to prove just how versatile this breed can be.
