Ok guys I've been on this game since it was in diapers but I've never (or maybe once) used boost tokens. I want to boost my ghost of Christmas past mare from yellow to red, would this require 1 or 5% boost?

If im not mistaken a 5%
Ive seen red to blue foundies with 5% boosts

You should be able to get a perfect foundation RS to red with less than the full +5%. I used to have a Freaky Friday stallion on the Forest server that had +2% breeding boost and papered B. However the +5% would make her equal to an exceptionally perfect breeding ability.

Wouldn't it be 1% since she should be a perfect foundation (100% breeding ability)? She is already the highest yellow, so 1% should tip her over the hump to red. 5% should put her equal to a exceptionally perfect's breeding ability (105%).

1% should do it, she'd just be a very low Red. I boosted my Baroque mare last season and it only took 1%.

Sharayah Stables & ztcreek are correct, a 1% boost will lift the paper level to red, but a 5% boost will take take her to an exper.
